Btw the s95 is not as slim as the ixus130 but its still considered to be decent in size.

I can recommed you my regular dealer that i always go to for my camera supplies. Lucky Store at Holland Village. Its opposite subway and i feel that they have good prices and good service. Recommended a friend of mine to get the s95 and she was very satisfied. PM me if you want their number.

went to SLS to buy a casing for my S90...the first shop i went to at level 2, quoted me 34 for a ixus hard casing... the next store, quoted 45 and song brothers quoted 50!!!

These are truly ridiculous pricing. A freaking hard casing made of fabric cost 50 dollars??

In the end, i bought the similar casing at level 1 (near the taxi area) for 12 bucks.

dun think anyone should go to sls to buy electronic products...these guys are pirates.

I think it is still the place for computer DIY stuffs. SLS does have the widest range of things, from video cards to softwares. And since many stores may be selling the same model, I can compare all their price and go for the cheapest.
Same computer parts selling in neighbourhood computer store may cost 50% more.

My Canon Ixus iZoom's original battery is 760mAh. I bought an extra battery (3rd party) which stated 1500mAh but many times cheaper than Canon. However the Canon original battery last at least 2 times longer than the 3rd party one. :bsmilie:

then u shld try the SLR 6 bucks battery for S90/S95... it last at least 3 times longer than the canon original one... i once took a video for 2GB on a 1mth never charge SLR 6 bucks battery... after close to 25mins of recording... it is still full charge...

i managed to squeeze S95 into a crumpler thirsty al (m)... fits nicely... much better than the FOC hardcase... think now that the cam is cheaper... the foc case wont work as well... no belt clip... how to use...

I got this neoprene case for $12 about 1 year ago for my s90 and it fits perfectly.

Some shops open up the camera boxes, take the form and claimed the freebies on your behalf at Canon. Other shops simply leave the packaging as it is and let you, the customer do the legwork.

And then there are some shops who have these freebies (8gb and box) as well so they give you first then claim at Canon later lo.

I suspect the gift you collect from shop can be diff from the gift you collect from canon.

eg. class 4 vs class 6 card. kingston vs sandisk etc

fussy customers may wan to check it out.

for me, cant be bothered as canon is too far away anyway.

Ah ok. Thanks. Just got myself a S95 at MS for $599. Self collect free gifts at Canon when I'm free next week.

S95 i think. Not so much to do with image quality in auto mode, although S95's JPEG output is better. S95 is more convenient - build-in lens cap and smaller camera body.
