hmmm ok ill try to get them up tomm. btw does increasing ISO or low light affect sharpness?
practically, yes.hmmm ok ill try to get them up tomm. btw does increasing ISO or low light affect sharpness?
because it has no technical value. i see no point in that posting. what does it show? noise? lens sharpness? CA?
are you comparing image quality with another lens or sensor? is there a 100% crop? is there exif info provided so other forumers can discuss about the technical aspects of the picture?
no.
Hey Mod , why was my Capt Am pic and post deleted?

Hi Guy,
Just like to share this photo after reading this post, I took my 500d to my kitchen to have a few shot. Setting on 'P' mode with canon 50mm f1.8 fix lens on AF at various 'ISO'. Actually my kitchen is quite dark 8/100% of the light coming in from the window the right and this light is no direct light but light from the outside corridor reflected on a wall. First I have difficult to lock focus, so I aim my camera to the wall that is bright lock the focus and aim back to the kitchen for every shots make.
I am not so good on photographing, below photos are directly upload from my camera without editing and I found that the photo is much brighter than the actual lighting in my kitchen.
ISO 3200

yes, post 500D pics that highlights the ability of the sensor (ISO noise, sharpness, etc), not to see how well your picture is taken and attract comments like "gd picture", etc.Hey Clown, I thought this thread was to post 500d pictures.
Granted I didn't put in the exif and it's not 100 % crop but if you had just indicated to me, I wud repost and not make the same mistake again.
But if u think it's really something that merits deletion from this thread. Then go ahead, it doesn't bother me anyway.
I think this shot shows that it has handled highlights quite well. The white star is easy to have blown highlights because the rest of the image is dark and the camera would have tried to increase exposure of the whole image (evaluative). I am guessing you are not using spot metering?
EDIT: looking at it again, it seems you have fired a flash too (shadows and the bright spot on the star).

no.
the galleries are there for a reason.i think mine got deleted for the same reasons too eh? oh well, no matter though i didn't find any rules regarding posting pictures in this thread.
to make it easier for newbie like me, maybe can have something like that at the start of the thread:
"All pictures posted shall have technical value and able to show image quality such as noise, lens sharpness, CA etc. Otherwise, the picture posted is to show the comparison in terms of image quality with another lens or sensor. You shall also state if the picture is a 100% crop and provide all exif info of the pictures."
LOL. ;p
this is an eqiupment discussion forum, not picture critique forum.
pictures should go to the photo galleries.
only technical images and discussions are allowed here.
i understand that this might cause some discomfort to forumers who grew used to posting everyday shots here but the decision has been made to keep the equipment discussion forums more focussed on technical discussions.
need you guys help to keep the forum nice and clean for all to use k? =)
and i'm sure it'll be better for pictures to be shared with the rest of the forum when it's posted in the galleries section.
Hi History, just curious, have u tried also 40D? How does it compare with 40D?
Have seen your guitar photos- but I feel the photos are not sharp- may i know what lens u using? Kit?
Wats the ISO for the shots?
Is the low light shooting iq better than 40D?
TIA bro.
Nice photo.. but shooting at f/8 is hardly a test of the bokeh... unless of coz you want to see the bokeh at f/8. Anyway, think she needs a nappy change after this shotTesting the Bokeh of 18-200mm (no PP done)
