hey guy can i ask why is it that some time when i wanna shoot using the 55-250. the cam just keep zooming in and out but not shooting at all?
is it because the object i'm trying to shoot is too close or the lighting is not there?

2 things i can think of:
1. the subject is too close, meaning it is within the minimum focusing distance
2. camera cant focus lock on the subject as there is no contrasting lines / colours for it to focus. imagine trying to get a plain white wall in focus.
Man.
I not use to the push and pull zooming of 100-400. So irritating. I think if I pull too much force you will see me as a panda.

there is a trick to get use to this lens.
too much friction, u get mad. too loose u might have some difficulty in controlling the zooming. u can tighten the knob till u can feel the right friction for u to push and pull.

Precisely! The knob's is next to the focus ring.

oh, been scouting and thinking of tripods today. so here they are my options..
specs put in a table to do comparison, if these are the 3 i'm considering, which would fit a >>
- lighter tripod
- my ht is abt 1.72m (ok, now its not a secret anymore)
- and say max weight to allow room for a mid-range dslr+grip+flash+some tele lenses say 70-200 (prob onli f4)
er, sorry its in chinese, got it off the benro's site. price ranges from $158 to about $180+.
