Hi i just bought the 450D with kit lens EF-S 18-55 IS and an additonal EF-S 55-250 IS lens.
Notice 1 problem, not too sure if its anything to worry abt, but like when after i keep my camera and use it 24 hrs later, sometime turning the On/Off switch doesnt turn it on. I have to eject and reinsert the battery for it to work. May i know what's wrong?
Will the battery drain away even during 24 hrs of non-usage?

I dun think so...it the battery fully charged? Do u have another battery to test?
Try not to leave the battery in the camera, when not in use. It does cause this kinds of problems in the later stages of your camera's life. However, due to you having recently purchased the camera, i think, such issues should not happen so fast. How about calling the place of purchase to do a 1 to 1 exchange, due to un-satisfactory results produced by a substantially new camera.

740, havent gone out to test it, but the home one looks good. Way better than my raynox, no longer do i have to go soo soo soo close to get a focus!.
expensive toy...
...more importantly is that you utilise it and take nice pictures with it...eleveninth

You use a 5D now. OMG...world's getting rich by the day. Went to collect my gaffer tape today. Also bought a Lowepro Flipside 300. I would like to ask, other than the 100mmf2.8, doing macro shots, can it be used like a prime?

it IS a prime.
I had this perception, that lenses with macro functions could do nothing else other than macro. Haha...i always had a bad feeling to my perception, that it was stupid and Canon isn't so dumb enough to make a lens with only 1 function and nothing else. I guess, my perception is wrong and it has been proven today. X.X

there is one lens by canon that does exactly what u said. its macro dedicated, allows up to 5x magnification, but cannot be used for anything else. so far i only know of one such lens.
Actually there are many. You can find them on a mircoscope. Haha..i know its lame, but some microscopes use lenses from Nikon, Canon and Carl Zeiss. Cool right? You can achieve awesome macro. Haha.
