btw, 119th...u dun need 100mm macro to take good macro shots lor...ur entry for the 450D challenge din use dedicated macro lens oredi FTW! :thumbsup:

anyway for those who are keen for macro lens...canon user really should get this one la. super sharp and very smooth and quiet focusing...so much so u can use it as a portrait lens to 'sneak shot' from far; quick, fast and accurate. highly recommended! :thumbsup:

Well, you can get us all 1 for christmas, that would certainly be good. Haha.

Can I ask, what are the ways can I bring my camera around without having to sling it around my neck or bring the bulky camera case around? Because I would like to bring it to an event next week, but I will be working, thus I would like to put it in my bag, but fear that I would spoil it. =/

Eh....whats the logic, you are afraid, that you might spoil your camera, by having it in the bag? I think the risks of your camera getting crushed is very low, compared to your camera being exposed outside, where people can bump into you and your camera can drop. Try using the canon standard free bag. Its good enough to protect your camera.

relax la, no worries one. i also never go for this kind of outing b4...but go out meet new frens, say hi, intro, then go somewhere n start shooting on ur own le ma. not much talking involved one...everybody only interested in shooting. thats the beauty of photo outings.

Gotten a 1000D for my gf as well, but I took her purchase with purchase 75-300mm lens haha..

hope to learn more from all the sifus here!

hehe no! that day i went to orchard wanting to take deco too. Nothing much this year, might be the economy crisis everything looks budget. And i have plans already :sweat:.

aiyoh...sad leh. wanna go shoot with u leh. ur plans not a shooting trip by any chance? orchard not nice can go elsewhere? i saw the lights also...indeed is not very nice. mon night i also went out shooting but whole day rain...damn sian. spent the evening at marina barrage getting my camera wet lor.

I just wanted the body.. cuz since my gf already owns a 350D with its kit lens and a sigma 70-200mm lens if i'm not wrong.. but her brother took it most of the time so i thought just her her a 1000D Kit and get the 75-300mm lens for $59.. and get a 450D body for myself..

surprises of surprises.. i opened the box and found a kit lens inside! then look at the box it says kit.. i'm assuming the guy at sitex packed wrongly..

btw i'm looking for a wide angle lens, capable of scenery shots and grp photos in like dim settings.. think outdoor pubs along clarke quay. any suggestions? preferably not L-series, i doubt i'll be able to afford it right now..

i went monday night also! Not much shots cause of the rain as well. Nope this fri is not a shooting trip don't worry haha. But i would like to do macro if i can get a 100mm soon. ;p I did buy a Hoya R72 today to try some IR though, have yet to test it out.

EFS 10 - 22mm :thumbsup: Dim settings, use a flash, you'll need one anyway.
