Haha, i tried something just now.. Very funny. Right side, i hand the canon bag, left side i carry the tripod, and my 450D, i hang on my neck. Was really funny.. Like those country pumpkin. ._.

Eh....whats the logic, you are afraid, that you might spoil your camera, by having it in the bag? I think the risks of your camera getting crushed is very low, compared to your camera being exposed outside, where people can bump into you and your camera can drop. Try using the canon standard free bag. Its good enough to protect your camera.

Hm, what I meant was that if I just put it inside my bag without any protective casing, it will spoil? dunno if you get my drift. As asked previously, don't wanna bring the canon standard free bag cos it's bulky and it's funny to bring 2 bags to work. So, asking if there's any compact type of bags or any way other than using the canon standard free bag to store my camera safely in my bag without it being like damaged or anything. I mean, how do you usually bring your camera out when you're outside? Bring the standard free bag? =/

what do u put in ur bag to work? they have backpacks / sling bags for camera with some space for ur other personal stuff.. if that's what u're asking

for me i have a camera backpack which i'll bring it to work if i need the camera after that

Normal stuffs like wallet etc. Mine's a work bag, so I would like to bring my work bag to work. I'm a female, that's why I'm unwilling to bring the camera bag. =X Would like to bring it around like a consumer camera.

I dun have a cam bagpack, so normally wat i do is bring my canon bag n stuff into my normal bag or I use a smaller bag and put it in. Of course, I may bump my cam...so i try to be careful.

ok anyways so if i get u right u wan a casing to put ur cam in.. which u will put in your big female bag? hmmm.. i know they sell those camera pouch but i guess it protects it from scracthes more from anything else.. and besides it'll look very obscene..
i think juz be careful with ur bag when u put your camera in..

or u could look at crumpler bags if u dun mind carrying those

Nope...just a normal small bag..perhap can add something soft to cushion it that wat i always do.

you can always get a neoprene cover for your camera (im assuming u only have the kit lens) and dump it into your whatever-you-call-it bag. neoprene covers are only a few mm thick and provides minimal protection. most are available for under $100
