ISO 1600 will result in grainy pictures than its counterparts.
Okay, I guess I will need to play with M mode.

Recommended setting for indoor portrait? :)

I'd recommend using Tv to control shutter speed to 1/focal length, set ISO to 800 (or 400), take a test shot which i'd think wld be underexposed. then compensate with AV+ until u get the correct exposure

Night guys

ok wth? my seller wanna meet me now then my dad does not permit me to get the drybox he wants me buy drycabi lol.
argh how?

i must tell him it uses electricity 24/7 is it?
you must on forever if ur cam forever inside is it?

If your dad insist you get the dry cab, then can ask your dad buy for you instead. But honestly, for long term use.a dry cab is more worth to invest into.:bsmilie:

what is a good walk around lens for 450D?

what is a good walk around lens for 450D?

Depends on your budget and what you like to shot. For newbie or starters, the kit lens is good enough. If you are into more range u can try the 18-200 for further upgrade (if u just want a lens to walk around and cover most of your range)

If you have the $$$ then i suggest a 17-55 f2.8 or a 17-40 f4L / 24-105 f4L.But most important is what kinda range are u into and what kinda shots you often capture.

Cheers !!

My walkabout lens is the kit 18-55 IS.

But if you want to get more than what the kit can offers, you can get the 18-200 or the 24-105 and that's if you have the spending power.

If not, the tamron 17-50 is also a good lens to get.

whats the next cheapest lens after the 50mm 1.8 and kit lens?

55-250

If you are talking about Canon alone.

You can check the price guide here. It includes 3rd party lenses such as Tamron and Sigma.

I bought it with a kit at $1135. Spending of accessories will never be able to check as the buying never stops.

In the world of DSLR, you will never stop spending unless you give up on photography totally. =)

Hey people.

I saw on the other thread that prices are going to go up after CNY.

Anyone still have yet to get their wishlist struck off, I bet you all gonna get them quick or spend more.

I'm going to get my 50mm f1.8 this week for sure and maybe a speedlite if my parents agree. Haha! ;)
