Maybe 5D mkii plus 50d coming together during Photokina, just like D300 and D3.

Canon dropping big surprise on Nikon (maybe more applicable to consumers). Hahah.

Still better than CP whom tried quoted me $1490 (before GST) when I walk in.

CP replied with a e-quote 1 day later, that is the same as what was mentioned in this thread by others ($13xx before GST) ... pre-condition "bring along email print out and show it to the sales people." So I guess, to buy at CP, it may be better to get a e-quote before hand and bring it there. - on in that email it also says "before GST, valid for cash payment only".

pretty much the same if you buy a 2ndhand body on cash terms right?

also you need to pay by cash, some shops charge for CC. so you go to the ATM and withdraw money lor. I paid $1900 cash for a 16-35L today.

IMHO it's silly because now they have to stock up the ATMs much more frequently because more people are withdrawing large amounts to pay cash. :dunno:
