Canon HK sells
6D body only at HK$15,980.
5DMk2 body only at HK$15,800
Very close price.
For reference, Canon SG's 5Dmk2 is SDG$3199. So 6D body only might be about $3200.
6D body is SDG$2518 if you directly convert from HK$15980.

Makes kind of sense, Nikon's RRP for the D600 body is S$3,250.

If 6D body only is SDG$3200, that's $700 more expesive. can fly jetstar to HK and buy. still got money left

The street price for the D600 is already below S$2600 here, that's a S$650 difference from the RRP. I don't know if HK's street prices differ that much from their RRP. If the 6D's street price will be on the same level here it might not be work to fly to HK.

If the 6D is going to be released within the next week or so, I do not understand this big hush-hush by Canon Singapore about its price. Nikon's D600 is already out in the market and available NOW. Sigh....

I think it would be nice if the camera makers would announce the RRP in Singapore the day they announce the camera like they do it in the Japan, Europe, US and Canada. Great!
