Im interested to know whether the launch of this cam will further push the price of 5DII further down.... Then it ll b great to buy a 5d2 or if the price of 6d is good, can get it instead... Super excited!

Think i would straight go for the 6d even if it cost more than a new 5dmk2..features are more =D..If the swivel screen is there though

The 6d seems to be a combination of the worst of 5d3 and 7d. Key for my consideration will be:

1. Micro AF adjust
2. Interchangeable focusing screen
3. Better sensor dynamic range at low ISO as compared to both the 5d2 and 5d3.

They should have just replaced the 5d2 sensor with a Sony 24mp sensor, and it will be excellent, but it may outsell the 5d3.

I feel the built is good as 7d. Apart from fps and AF points, it doesnt have a magnesium alloy body I guess. Looks like 60d with ff sensor!
Thought the articulated LCD is a plus, not many will want the feature to be on FF camera!

the articulating screen is an awesome thing to have...i can shoot real down low or high on the move without having to sit or squat...

11pt AF is not even comparable to Nikon's D7000, D300s range! Apart from the 35m format, the other feature are like starter semi-pro cameras like 60D

I wonder if they will price the 6D US$500 higher than the D600 like they did with the 5Dmk3 compared to the D800.

Well, we can always come up with our own hope-to-have list...

- Same sensor & MP count as 5D3
- At least 7D-equivalent AF
- pentaprism
- swivel screen
- micro-adjustment
- USB3
- UHS-1 support
- 3/5/7-shot exposure bracket
- limited weather-sealing

Very conservative already. Anything more is bonus. I don't even dare to think of "exotic" features like focus peaking, or RAW histogram... ;p

The 5Dmk3's AF system is newer and better than the one of the D800/E and I hope they will outperform Nikon's D600 with their 6D as well.

Yeah, UHS-I and USB3 support would be nice, too.

Just better than the competition at the same price point is enough.

The 11 pt AF with only center cross type is absolutely disappointing. i want a 7D AF. the rest of the spec is reasonable for a budget FF

Agree=D..and 7d fps...oh well all we can do now is wait n see..the 60d motto is something about new perspective right? So i hope they stick to it
