It should still be a profitable effort for Canon.

i doubt so..it will only look good to the New comers..and those who doesn't know the 600 or 60d....even i myself a60d user prolly isn't going for it...alot of things i hoped would be there isn't..they may have pumped in New stuff..but they damn well took out lots too...n the biggest thing is the articulating screen...the hdr mode on the camera? Seriously? It's like becoming a toy camera....i think i rather save up abit more for the 5dmk3..weight doesn't even bother me..even with a battery grip

I think it will be quite a success for canon if they price it below the nikon D600 to be the cheapest FF ever. Most probably in 1-2 years time you can get one of this at below 2k.

Site indicated that the specs are from trusted sources. But as always, it's a rumors site, so take with a grain of salt. :)

11 focus point system? That's below par.
Shutter speed 1/4000? You must be kidding me! Even 40d has 1/8k shutter speed.
What is there to impress me?

This is enough for Canon to turn in a profit.

Well any amount well be profit as their prices are relatively becoming higher n higher..definitely 4 fold over cost of making it

If I am not wrong the max shutter speed is 1/8000.

Good. I won't have any problem selling my 5D3 then once the 6D is released. :bsmilie:

Sell your 5D3 cheaper than others sure many takers..haha..

For me..i use centre AF 99% & shutter speed never faster than 1/4000..so a 6D is good to have..but not anytime soon..

Well, more choice is always better. If you like the 6D, you have the option of buying it. If you don't like it, don't buy lor, you are no worse off.

Agree. I'm tempted. I like the less weight.

Wa, how often do you use 1/8000 second shutter speed :bsmilie:

No problem. For Canon it is always "Less is more."

Lesser specifications = more profits.

They are running a business, I would expect them to aim for more profits. It would be naive to expect otherwise :)

Well said.... lesser AF point, cross type sensor, lesser MP than 5d3, 1/4000 shutter etc.

Why? So they have room to put these back in on the 6D mark 2, probably timed when Nikon releases a competing FF model.

Haha ooo i see an offer coming..Haha

At 1/4000, my 1.2 lenses will have to struggle with having too much light outdoors. Thankfully there is ISO 50 in the 6D. So 1/8000 would be a good buffer.

Hmm FF in a 60D sized body, interesting. What bugs me isn't the 1/4000 max shutter, it's the 97% VF
