Canon 60D Price Reference

4. Freebies / Trade for something (e.g. 16gb SD class 4 trade for 16 gb SD class 6 with top up $30 )

As i'm intend to buy a 60D but theres only very VERY limited reference in the price guide !

just a few numbers and a friendly chat away. much faster than waiting for response.

I've called a few or even e-quote .. some just briefly give me a price and ask me to come to their shop to see before hang down.
Its my hard earn money and i would wish to get my best ideal deal from it.
Just hope someone would be kind enough to do so .

i suggest you limit your search to these shops:

cathay photo
tk foto
orient photo
slr revolution
ms colour

the freebies are usually priced in the package. i won't count too much on getting a superb deal if i were you.

i haven't had any trouble with people hanging up on me, i don't know what you are saying to them, but really - most shops are happy to talk to potential customers.

Hmmm... When I called several stores (most of those listed by night86mare + parisilk), they sounded nice and took the time to quote for the body alone, for the kit, as well as for another lens I was considering. None of them sounded pushy or nor did any insist that I go to their store.

don't think it will reach 1350 in the near 6 mths...buy now enjoy faster earlier...

The SRP is just that - a suggested retail price. Canon doesn't insist that retailers sell at that price. Most retailers sell it for less... well, at least the retailers suggested in the price guides sell it for less.

Grey sets (parallel imports) probably sell for even less.

Canon EOS 60D Body - $1420
Canon EOS 60D Kit I (EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS) - $1599
Canon EOS 60D Kit II (EF-S18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS) - $1890
Canon EOS 60D Kit III (EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS) - $2040 (what I bought)

Standard freebies include Canon Messenger Bag and 8GB Kingston Class 6 SDHC card (collect from Digital Lab), and the offer to purchase EF 50mm f/1.8 II at $60 if warranty is registered online. I also got a free LCD screen protector for my 60D, and got UV filters for the kit lens and the EF 50mm f/1.8 II at very cheap prices.

I also enquired on the following lenses:
Canon EF-S15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM - $1130
Canon EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS - $1080

I eventually bought a used 15-85mm lens, and sold my kit 18-200mm lens, both through Buy and Sell forum.

Prices are inclusive of GST.

The bag in your picture is the Messenger Mini. The one I received was the bigger Messenger, which is a sling bag that can fit a mid-sized laptop plus the camera and 2 lenses.

Is the Messenger bag same as previous promotion or is it bigger(Sling type) as Rhema83 mention it.
Plan to get one also either 7D or 60D.
