To Anthony: I used one-touch WB brush in Lightroom and got the same results as Raydio. On the other hand, I could not get DPP to save the edited jpeg file from you. Maybe I need to reinstall my Canon software.
To Raydio: I got my brand new 60D from SLR Revolution at $1408. Not sure why anyone will want to pay $1399 for a used copy.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find the time to do some bug macro photo with the 60D. My next big trip is in July next year (Hokkaido)... long time to go...![]()

For your sake I hope that you can sell quickly.... but why the sudden change of heart?
My workflow is very simple. I shoot in raw, AWB. Download to DPP and retune color temperature to suit the shooting condition. I never adjust color tone but tried and could never get what I want with an image from 60D. Those that I shot with 5D with the same lens, same setting, the images behave totally different and I needed very simple work on DPP only. I will post 2 photos of the 60D shot with the same 17-55f2.8, one at 5pm outdoor and one indoor at about 9pm with artificial lighting.
60D with 17-55f2.8 at 9pm indoor with artificial lighting. I tried adjusting the raw image in DPP by lowing the WP temperature and it turned into an ugly yellow. As it is it's too pinkish to me. By the way, the wall color is very whitish.
Don't get me wrong. 60D is a very good cam.
For those buying to upgrade from xxxD, go ahead. u won't regret.
As for existing xxd, i think 7D is better choice as we are used to machine gun
I have outgrown 50D/60D.
So, it is either a 7D (Machine gun) or a 5dm2 (FF) for me.
Anthony, i think u need to understand a basic tech background here. The 60D uses a different sensor & processor & algorithm, so naturally it will look different compared to 5D or 5DmkII. U'll need to spend some time to familiarise with the adjustment to get what u feel comfy. Even the same generation of cameras like the 5D2 & 1D4, also will look different compared to each other.
Not entirely good or bad, but need some time to find out the characteristics & adjustments.
Here's one i think ok. I like to retain some ambient light for the mood.

Hey Guys,
I noticed that the photos i take at night during dinner for example always come out rather Reddish.
Is there anyway i can correct this within the camera setting instead of editing after transferring to my com?
another thing that i noticed is that when i open the photo with "digital photo professional" from canon, there isn't this reddish effect. However, when i use "preview" on my mac to look at the photo, it will appear reddish.
Anyone can help on this?
i believe the reddish hue is caused by the lights & not the camera (any brand & model will have this issue). i noticed if those yellow/tungsten lights with colour temp of 2500K will have a reddish residue, those 3500K tungsten light doesn't.
Usually i manually tune the pics & not let the cam does the guess work. The pic above was manually tuned & i left some yellow light to preserve the ambient mood.
If u use the custom WB or the 'Click WB', the pic becomes too cold looking. Here an eg. U can compare it with the pic i posted above.
Custome WB i find, only useful if u want to recreate accurate or more precise colour tone w/o being bothered by it looking cold. Here's another eg.
Finally, one gentle reminder. Always shoot RAW if u intend to fine tune. If its jpg only, u can't do much about the WB & tweaking.
hope this solves the mystery of reddish hue.
Thanks for the tips Nightpiper. Your photos look great!
Could you go into a little more detail in how you "tuned" the pics.
Did you do it in post processing or in-camera?
