Yes, I just downloaded and installed the EXIF Viewer add-on for Firefox and found the following information for your photo:

Focal length: 135mm (you must have the 18-135 mm kit lens)
Shutter speed: 1/160
ISO: 640
Camera model: Canon 60D
Aperture: f/6.3
Metering Mode: Spot

This add-on is great! I would highly recommend it to anyone.

DPReview indepth review comfirms my finding that the 60D has a heavy orange cast in photos taken under indoor artificial lighting. My way around this is to custom set color temperature to around the minimum from 2800-3000, and use this custom setting when shooting indoor. If you shoot in raw, not very applicable but still helpful as you will do less work in PP.

Our only other complaint is one we've leveled at Canons many times over the years - the Auto White Balance does a poor job of correcting color under artificial lights, particularly traditional tungsten light bulbs. While there is an argument that auto white balance shouldn't try to fully balance-out the color cast of very low color temperature sources like these, to retain some of the 'atmosphere' of the scene, we think the 60D takes this too far - leaving an excessively orange tinge to many indoor shots.

Hi, See dpreview.com. 60D scores 79 points with silver award.

i think this is typical of Canon sensors. My use of 450D and 7D all have similar overly-warm balance.

Not with the 40D and my current 5D. I work around it with the use of alternate lenses, but surprisingly, they also make very little difference on the 60D.

When I first glanced at DPReview's final score for the 60D I was quite disappointed. I thought that a camera of this caliber deserved a much better score than 79%. Then I looked at the scores of other cameras above and below it's class and realized that the score was probably about right:

Canon 1D MkIV....89%
Nikon D3s...........89%
Canon 7D............84%
Nikon D300s........82%
Canon 5D MkII.....79%
Canon 60D.........79%
Canon 550D.........77%
Canon 500D.........74%

Overall, the biggest surprise turned out to be the Canon 5D MkII.

Take reviews with a pinch of salt. The worth and value of the camera depends solely on the user. A 1DM4 bought and kept in the dry cabinet 90% of the time = useless and worthless.

why are you so upset over a site's rating for a camera? does that make the piece you hold in your hands any better or lousier?

True. The worth of a camera is not made up of the various scores it receives from reviewers around the world but rather on the personal utility it brings to the individual holding it.

Apart from the tungsten lighting AWB anomaly, two other issues specific to the 60D (i.e., worse than 450D and 7D) irritate me a lot:

- assignment of the 'SET' button' custom (CF IV-2) function conflicts with the 'AF point selection method' (CF III-2) function

- excruciatingly slow and often times inaccurate contrast based focusing in live view

However, despite these bugs, the 60D has to be my PERSONAL favorite DSLR of all time. Ya, I'm kind of weird. :bsmilie:

(Off topic: I often take camera ergonomics for granted... until I played with the Sony A55 in a store yesterday... my goodness... the last time I was so put off by a camera because of its horrendous ergonomics was when I owned the Sony F717... ya, another Sony product... unbelievable)

I guess that all cameras have their ups and downs. None are perfect. I'm glad that the 60D has become your favourite of all time!

I am looking forward to 2011. Although a 70D is not likely to be announced, I am 95% sure that the Canon 5D MkIII and the Canon 1Ds MkIV will be announced.

On second thought, the amount of time between a 40D and 50D was only one year. So who knows about the timing on the 70D. On third thought, what could they possibly add to the 70D that the 60D hasn't already got? Maybe MA?

Guys, I just bought this camera with the 35mm f2 lens. Gonna pick up the 50mm f1.8 online warranty offer as well. Can you guys recommend a good camera bag for the camera and two lenses? The free one from Canon is just too big lah.

Congratulations on the 60D!

I have a preference for Lowepro bags but there are a lot of good alternative brands available. If you're looking for a small bag, I would highly recommend the Lowepro Toploader series. They come in various sizes depending on the size of your lens (from 50mm prime to 100-400 zoom). Here is their website:

I know that Challenger at the Funan Mall sells a lot of bags in various sizes but they do not have the Lowepro brand. I'm not sure where Lowepro is available anymore.... TK Photo, Cathay? Perhaps someone could help.

I bought 60D couple of days back. This is my first SLR (Have been a Canon S5 user since 2.5 yrs & Canon A70 3+ years before that) & am yet to get my hands accustomed to the weight & body of the cam. Those things apart, am loving the results so far.

DPReview has a new photo comparison chart that compares results from the Canon 60D, Nikon D7000 and Pentax K5 at various ISO's. The 60D holds it own and is very impressive right up to ISO 1600. You can even switch to many other camera models.

Note: In the large sample photo (the top one), there is a small rectangle that can be moved to other parts of the photo for comparison. It's a really great feature.

I'm loving the weight and feel of the 60D...my first DSLR.:)

I was not wrong then to say that the 60D is still the best value for money DSLR for this category. So, guys, enjoy your 60D and post more photos here.
