Canon 1000D thread III! [general discussion]

Thanks dev2k8 for the inputs. yeah, I suspect that my grip has some problems. Because as mentioned, when the single battery is placed near the said of the camera battery compartment (right side), it will not work. But when placed to the left side, it will. Doesn't looked right.. And as mentioned by jlkk76 above, it should work regardless of which side you place the single bat.. anyway, I am returning it to the seller and ask for replacement. Thanks all for the inputs!!

Hi all Canon 1000D bros/sis+associate+all..

I have an idea..i want to touch something regarding our photo thread,, I have a mission ( wah so feeling).
Can i say that ..our photo thread is mostly based on individual outing and shoot. So i wondering if we could categorized it monthly..therefore we have a idea to post our pic monthly according to a themes. ( where we will share opinons on what themes to start every month.) for e.g starting on mth of april, we start on kids. and the themes
will be something like "Kids, and their expressions".

Then all of us will post on our photogallery(maybe we should start a new thread especially only for the particular themes-for example thread will look like ("kids and their expressions-by Club1000D & All") regarding on the themes monthly.

Why i suggesting dis way..I do not want our photo thread to be so lame when time comes. I want it to grow with idea every time we browse thru the thread. So people can see our effort here, especially my whole good photographers khaki Club 1000D & Associate.

I can't really start it directly, coz i just giving a suggestions here. I must wait for majority to agree with this idea. actually this idea are from our bro Haslansalamm. Which i find it as a great idea. and also talk dis out with bro fedodedo aka faizal.. which he also agree.

So i need a Yes or No from the rest of our member here(you guys), anyway we doing this for sake of our passion in photography. to build up the skill that we are achieveing now even though we can still consider as a noob here. so by this way...i believe this thread can go on..and on. and keep on happening. What you guys think..

Cheers.Uv been the heart and soul of this thread and i thank you for making it grow because everyone benefit. So you are looking for suggestion... and its time for us to support this wonderful idea. I would AGREE on your propose idea... why not... it will give us straight idea on what to post... a theme that everyone can relate because all of us is in the same page. Well we can start on listing themes? let say we change it every 2 weeks.... so we still have 2 weeks to come up on all the potential theme that Club 1000d will be posting...

Suggested theme:
1. Kids, and their expressions - Fatah
2. Moonshot
3. Product Photography

Its a good idea... And is a bad idea as well...

Its a good idea is because, imho, i think it will make gallery looks neater and of course systematic. :thumbsup:

The bad side of the idea is that, people tend to have their own weaknesses. Eg; Maybe one of the month, the theme is on Macro photography.. There are many bros who have no right lenses for him/her to take macro photography or maybe he sucks big time with macro, so he might have to wait for at least a month before he can place his pictures. And the next theme might not for his pictures...

So i'm kinda neutral abit this bro

But Bros, personally I feel that we have not reach the full potential of our objectives, C&C is still lacking so how to improve.
I 2gether with Roc just return from the Spore Photographic Society C&C session as guest of Bro Ardaan. It was a GREAT learning experience.
Even Bro Ardaan SUPERP photo got C&C.
I suggest we look into this, as we need to understand that our seniors and sifu(s) may not have sufficient time for us. Though we must appreciate their effort to 'go down' at our level.

My thoughts; maybe once a month we gather somewhere to show 6 pics each and everyone give their thoughts ... or something along this line la.

People, your thoughts please as I maybe wrong ..... Im always wrong.
