Hmm.. that could be in general? Not too sure though. Also starting out to be a strobist too.

But how about lightbox & lamps for product shoots? Backdrop, studio lights and stands for indoor portraits?

Yup. If you intend to shoot with backdrops, of course backdrops and their stands are part of the requirements for portraiture. More for the formal kind. Studio lights? You mean the studio strobes or modelling light? Modelling light not necessary unless you're shooting in a dark studio.

For product shoots, better to have the light tent as it 'wraps' your light more uniformly around the product. Lamps are not necessary, strobes will do fine.

Don't forget: softboxes, umbrellas, reflectors.

Have u guys check out the IT show at suntec..I was told by my fiancee..that sgma are displaying 18-250mm. Cooool..

Price ard 900+, nearly the same price to tammy 18-270. wowwWW.

Hopefully ,,2 mths time i can get one of it. that if i really can afford man..my fiancee has been nagging to me to not to waste my money..haha.

In my list now.
Items to get.
1. Good walkabout lens. (really prefer sigma)
2. Diffuser for my flash.
3. wireless shutter remote.
4. camera armour. (i saw dis in the internet.http://www.cameraarmor.com/ not too sure singapore have it. if have can buy.hehe).

Temporarily..this the item that i feel i should get before i can stop the BBB bug.

Bro, camera armour looks good for harsh outdoors or when trekking. Suggest wait till we upgrade to at least 50D & above. Our 1000D .... too ..... shy la want to say. anyway I like my 1000D for its weight and size. Just wrapped and throw in my day back when I go out, at times I forgot I have a camera.

Went to the site but I don't see a model for the 1000D specifically only the 450D.

I do check out with cathay and john 3.16. Cathay didnt bring in the item. and john..they only have for nikon body(only for D300 if i not wrong).

But if they dun have it sell here its ok. i can always tape black gaffer tape all round. haha.

another good alternative is to wrap camera with bicycle tyre tube .... red tube. Its stretchable so you can slip extra baterry or SD card somewhere.

hey.. noise is the one that makes the photo looks grainy.. with all the white dots scattered all over the place.. take a look at the wiki.. got a picture to explain..

The sample in wiki is obvious and deliberate to explain. But what about Draken's Lion shot, there is noise around the ears .... but I cant identify. Before you say it ... no no no its not my old age, I wear reading glass.

take alook around the ear, the black parts. or near the mouth of the lion. The grains probably been enhanced by sharpening. Anyway it might be his PP as im not seeing it all over his photo, just at certain parts, or it might be me. :dunno:

Thanks for the time bro, problem is all info that I google give an obvious sample photo that you cant miss, but when comes to photo like Draken's Lion, I guess this takes some time and experience to identify.
