I just find it amusing that some people think that "someone" can have such an impact on Canon or Nikon.

Check across various brand forum, seems like the price cut is across the board, Sony/Nikon are doing the same as well. Maybe should really join USM kopi session, like Neo facing the Morpheus the first time and learn about the truth... stylo seah USM !

if only they take away the photo frame and the 2GB CF for ~$220
The 40D body would be ~$1360! That would be a good deal indeed, I'll buy it straight away.
This pricing is close to the <US$1k price tag with rebates.
Current 450D body ~$1150 only. The 40D will fly off the shelves with the $200 difference.
Canon needs to redo this 'free gift' promo for DSLRs..... :think:

I got my wish or at least close to it.
40D is down and attractive.
So are most Canon lenses. Looks like Canon is out to rule the consumer market.
