..... because you and the buyer are not friends and you won't know what is he/she like..
If someone can afford a lens, what is $30??? Why the delay just to pay $30? It's not as if someone has to empty his bank just for $30. $30 is just 3 weekend movie tickets.
Lesson learnt, in future its either the buyer pay in full or the seller refuse to sell and walk away from it.
To think TS would provide 3-weeks money back guarantee on a 2nd hand lens is a bit naive. TS will never get his lens sold since people will be taking the advantage and test the lens for 3 weeks and then return it. Better than going to camera rental company to rent.
The buyer said he is still in army so he is either a citizen or a 2nd generation PR http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5597563&postcount=10 hence there is no excuse that he is not familiar with Singapore culture.
Just my observation...
I don't think it is a good idea to provide personal warranty in any form when selling 2nd items.
First of all, the seller must not try to sell a defected items unless it is clearly stated so in the post. So, if the item is functioning as design when the transaction took place, then the seller should not be responsible when something goes wrong the next day. Plus, one will never know what happened to the lens after the transaction, it might have been dropped or parts being replaced and the buyer then claim for the personal warranty. The best way is for the buy to check to ensure everything is in order before handing over the money.
There are risks involve in buying 2nd hand items but that is the price to pay for dealing with items that has no warranty.
TS, you are not alone! There are some buyers who will always give "excuses" that they are short of $xx and promise to transfer to your bank account (which we know will never happen!)
Move on!
Shame on this cheapskate buyers! :thumbsd:
:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie: you crack me up.Just take the $30 as giving him $$ to buy medicine for himself
I have learned one thing, never trust anyone with respect to money. I have seen and read a lot of cased when brother went against brother for money.TS, you are not alone!
