thats why I prefer to go Funan than those shops located in such "wulu" place...

if the price is not attractive... I have to travel to other places to get my stuff...

but in Funan, if 1 shops do not have the stock or selling stuff quite expensive, i can go next door to get it... more choices to shop around with shops like AP, TK, SLRR, Cathay, Song Brother, Artworkfoto, SG camera, P&G etc...

They moving to EastGate. The mall beside Roxy Square. Quite big sia the new shop.

My experience with Parisilk is very negative. The staff attitude is terrible, like they are doing you a favour for you to buy their products. I just dust off my feet & will not step into the shop again.

TS, dont get so worked up, the money is still with you, there are so many shops around. Spend it somewhere else which give good service & dont treat you like an idiot. Its their loss, not yours. I bought mine at CP at $590 (incl gst) few weeks back. Super lens. Go get & enjoy!

Wow, didn't expect so many negative comments on them

I haven bought anything from them so far, but I always have the impression that they are quite good

Now I've been warned

Thanks for sharing

I have a good impression on them. I went to the Bedok store and wanted to buy a Fujifilm HS20EXR. They told me that they don't have stock but It would come on the next day. It came the next day and it really did. It also sells at a cheaper price. Hs20 at CP cost 550 while parisilk sells at 533. Not a lot of freebies tho. I'm impressed. Also next time go to parisilk website to leave a email to confirm stock 1st and price. Anyways Good attitude, punctuality and price ^^

I'm sorry to hear about camerax's and other bad experiences here regarding ParisSilk.

This comes as a shock to me cos ParisSilk is one of the shops that photographers do frequent for some time already. Have they changed their business tactics recently?

I was wondering, is it safe then to buy their other electrical products? All the bad reports here make me a little hesitant now from buying from the store, not necessarily camera stuffs.

couple of days ago, i've been quoted $50 more than other shop for the new canon 40mm pancake @_@

How much was the quote? Now it seems that the average prices in town is around 250-280

I oso have bad experience with the branch in Holland road last year. My friend have called to confirm on the price of Sony A33 that I want to buy but when reached there, they (1 Indian man and lady) said it is impossible quote so low, we must have heard wrongly, the new price was $85 more. My friend asked for the guy who he talked to but they said he is on leave, weird bcause we spoke to him just half an hour before we came down. Price aside, the worst is the attitude, it's lyke we owe them. My friend was vry angry and told them how to do business lyke that, they just shrugged and spoke in their language while staring at us. ;(;(

Just don't buy from them lor. They are not the only shops in SG

Pricing is up to the individual shop. You can't blame a shop for wanting to charge more if you don't do your homework.

And by the way, shops have no obligation to sell at a quoted price. You're getting angry over nothing :)

Dont be ridiculous, if i sign a contract or a verbal agreement to do something, it is about integrity and respecting the other party.
You cannot survive if you do not respect others

Hmm... I have always had the impression that Parisilk is one of the recommended shops. Look like I am wrong. Lucky I haven't had the chance to visit them for my needs. Thanks TS for the heads up.

Thanks for your info. I won't buy thing from them and also I will tell all my friends about it. Customer always right!!!!

Best that this is put up in every social media....

sorry i just got back from my vacation and so i couldnt respond. i think u should be careful. like what happened to me just CLEARLY shows that they will do nasty crap for money. no customer service in my opiniion. these days in singapore, i dont think their price is really cheap anyway. so i think if u have other stores in mind that is more reputable, please go ahead and buy there . i think its better.

this store just basically shock the hell out of me. and i will never want to buy from them ever again.

I'm thinking to get my Plustek scanner from Parisilk. After seeing so much negative experience here, I will get it from Bizgram instead.
