Dude. I am following this thread and I honestly do not think that was what out fellow CSer really meant.

Just chill. It has already happened. What's with all the anger? It is only natural to be angry, but what you are exhibiting seems to be fairly extreme.

You have done what you believe is the ethical thing - to inform fellow photographers of this incident.

There are a fair number of CSers who sympathize your plight.

Many others have gone the extra mile to search for the right people for you to share your grievance with.

So what's with the anger? Isn't useful anyway.
 

Not sure but I think Parisilk is managed by a family, different branches managed by different son / daughter? Could it be that the salesman at the Holland V is the black sheep of the family business?
 

TS, can understand your frustration. I experienced once as well, but with other shop. Learned my lesson. I must say I have bought stuff from P with no issues. I wrote through their website to get e-quote, then printed it out, went down to the shop. They verbally gave me a higher price but when I showed them the e-quote, they sold me at the e-quote price. If you feel that the verbal conversation is an implied oral contract, all you can do now if I am not mistaken is to file a case at the small claims court -- but will be a long winded process. I guess take this as a lesson learnt, perhaps if you still want to give P another shot try getting e-quote.

Thank you for the suggestion. but i am actually angry not because of QUOTE. but i just feel like i am treated / harmed like a fool here with a pure bad disgusting intention and that is just to reap more profit.

The guy called me and ASKED ME TO COME and collect the lens. I am pissed because i spent my time and spent money on taxi to get there and just to be told that they cant sell it at the price that we have agreed on. i mean seriously. this is just plain unethical.

i understand your point of getting a written quote but at this point i dont even care or bother trying. but thanks. I AM DONE with this store. i dont trust them anymore.

Even if i got written proof, THEY Can just say "I AM NOT WILLING TO SELL IT AT THAT PRICE, make up some bs" like what they did.

This is why i am posting this to LET everybody here aware that PLEASE TREAT THE EQUOTE / CALL QUOTE / WHATEVER you can possibly get from this horrible disgusting store. it doesnt mean crap!!

what happened to me was BEYOND QUOTE. WE HAD A DEAL and he even asked me to come and pick up the lens. and look what happened?? they just said, I cant give it to you because the cost has gone up!

AND looking at them doing this, just shows me that they dont have integrity. Now, i can actually believe to some of the other horrible stories about this store, from other people including my not so close friends who has dealt with these rats.

I should have asked him "WHAT ABOUT MY TAXI FARE?" and MY TIME??

i am so sorry. yes i do admit that i am so angry or maybe i should say FRUSTRATED to be more precise because I spent money on taxi to get there and just to be treated like this. I feel so insulted and cheated to be frank. Sorry, if you are offended by my post.

I just feel disappointed when the guy can condone what this store has done after knowing that it has done seriously disgusting crap like this. Again, i am not angry to anybody here but that stupid horrible store PARISILK.

Thanks bro, i will probably get it from funan when they have it. I will go to alan photo most probably or cathay maybe. since i actually went to cathay before to get this lens and it was available. the sales guy asked 610 for it. and i didnt buy since i didnt bring the camera. and next day, NO STOCK.

and then this thing happen :(
 

Hi TS, sorry to hear such thing happen to you. I believe they should at least give you a call if price increase.
I never have such problem with MS or Cathay.
I am actually planning to go parisik to buy 2 lens tonight but after hearing this, I decided not to patronise this shop in future.

and to be frank, i think u made a good decision here. Please just go to funan. there are many camera stores there and they are better imo and more convenient as well.
if they can be like this WHO KNOWS what they can possibly do to cheat others.

I ve actually heard quite a number of disgusting incidents with PARISILK before (some are even worse than this) but never experience it until yesterday. now i can say "GOODBYE FOREVER" with this shop. They will never get my money EVER AND EVER.

No, i havent tried simlim but maybe i will check out the alan photo there. And besides its not urgent. I think i will wait until stores in funan has it.

But you really need to cool down. Not worth getting angry and building those bad chemicals in your body over this. Just buy it from somewhere else.

No. We can't let these shops go so easily. It's too easy life for them.

We should tell this to the public and hold the shops accountable

You bet i would do it. and again , its not about "i cant buy the lens from this store" and then i am upset.

I am upset because they called me to pick up the lens and then when i got there, they denied it and treated like it never happened. A guy even told me that the lens was out of stock. WHAT A DISHONEST STORE!!!
