BEWARE OF PARISILK!!!

I truly wanna do it!!! and i am thinking of asking my friends to do the same since they also had pretty terrible experience with this store.

After u do it, email the link to that shop's bosses.

Have mixed experience with this shop

Good - They usually gave me cheap price compare to other shops, The shop is very close to my place

Bad - they didn't gave me leather case for X100, they said Fuji didn't give them, it's around 2 month after launch. And yes, a bit similar like TS experience, i order some items from them and then when i came there they already sold it to someone else, first come first serve they said :(

well that's fine too but there are just so many shops and people that behave and act so irresponsibly this way. we can only increase awareness and let others know, to a limited extend. unless of want to be a crusader of such cause.

many at times i felt myself at a disadvantage situation and pissed due to fault not mine, and i wanted to write complain letters etc etc... but after a while when time passed and i got lazy, i just leave it as it is. but i will put a mental note never to return to that shop.

social media is a very powerful tool... it is good to spread the words... but just don't get too upset that it affects your daily life.

same experience, when i called in advance said they have stocks, when i arrived after 1 hour, they said sold out already, and offer different items...
giving those non-sense salestalk and i replied i know what i am buying ,pls dont give that low grade item...

So where is the social media post?

Hmm, just shows what kind of double standards Parisilk has. I dropped by their Holland V branch once to check out the price of a lens. Basically, when I was there, I stood at the counter for so long, looking at each worker there as they walked past me, treat me like I'm invisible. Waited for so long, still nobody came to serve me. Then I got fed-up, so asked the nearest guy about the price of a lens and a grip. The guy check the price list, then quickly read the price to me, then walk away. Never even bother to offer a smile or take out the lens for me to see. Then I see angmohs walk into the store, all the workers rushing to serve them. They treat the angmohs like kings, then treat us locals like dirt. Why? Cos they think angmohs are richer than us and will more likely be buying more expensive stuff. Prices also not fantastic. Wasted my time and effort to get there (since I don't live near Holland V) only to get poor service and attitude. Rather go to Funan cos its more convenient to get there (for me) and got many shops to check out, including Cathay across the street. Never going back to Parisilk.

I wanted to buy 85 1.4g back then I called to ask if they have that Hakim tell me 'this one expensive you know' F him think I no money issit. I boycott that shop since and bought from Cathay.

oh man, so they always do this , heh? what a disgusting rats. hahahahahah, they wont survive somewhere else. to be honest, i am very surprised why they can survive with this crazy attitude of doing business? no integrity at all really.

Oooh. Was thinking of buying something from them. Now, I think not.

i sympathise with TS, dropped by a month or so back at the Holland V branch to buy CF cards, story as follows (numbers nt v zhun, purely from memory)

1st incident (young indian dude): quoted me $180, i said ok then i went to ask about other stuff, when i didn't buy the other stuff (strap) and wanted to buy the strap, they raised price by $5 to $185.
2nd incident (few days later) (filippino dude): quoted me $177 then i said ok, signed receipt and everything, then when he double check with his colleague, suddenly add another 7% gst to become $189. I kpkb abit, he drop back to 185.

Both times i bought from them cause cheaper, swallow my pride jz pay lor. Anyway, i've been buying quite a bit of stuff from them regularly, somethings they sell cheaper some mre expensive, but most impt thing is to talk to their boss, kevin who is pretty decent. The rest of the staff r nt v nice 1 so if i need to get something abit more pricy, i'll onli talk to kevin n come back again if he is not there. Bottomline for me is, pride cannot eat, jz buy from the cheaper shop.. haha

i agree with this..
i ONLY talk and buy from Kevin.. who is the boss there..

from the other sales person i get different quotes for the same product..
i THINK they earn commission thus the difference in quotation..

i remember last year i bought 2 Fuji X100 from Parisilk when it was still hot and out of stock in many places..
1st X100 > i bought $1450 from a sales guy
2nd X100 > $1400 from Kevin
both in the span of a week..
was a happy customer as at that point of time many shops selling at $1500+..

shoddy sales from the sales guys there..
but from Kevin i must say he is consistent with his quotations..

Did you got the leather case :0

I did.

They did not call me as promised.. I had to called them..

its a case of "workers acting like boss" in this situation albeit very normal nowadays. maybe the bosses treat their workers too well and they think they run the business also. of course symphatize with the ts on his encounter but i believe the bosses do a much better job. afterall their own business. maybe ts can liase with the boss and inform him about this certain worker or complain to case for this encounter. spreading wildly on social media doesnt seem too responsible and may also meet with legal issues if they pursue.

well liaise with boss and let him know is one way of sharing your experience.
but the advise of legal issues coming up because the TS quoted his/her experience on social networks is a bit stretched.

Since the vendor deals with export stuff or local set as from posts above by fellow csers of being priced items with or without GST. it is also apparent that they may or may not be paying GST to govt.

If after your post the vendor contacts you and apologizes or something then that experience can also be quoted as followup

so its like a pandoras box for the vendor as well as against any fair trade practices.

Sorry to hear about TS bad experience.

For me, this is one of my favorite shop. I always deal with Kevin and will ask if he is around before heading down. So far have been very happy with them. Have also recommended many of my friends to this shop too, and they too have got pleasant experience.

I do ask the pricing from his staffs, so far have been pretty consistent.

Think the same with CanonG also. No need to type/highlight very long and various messages. Apparently the shop don't need your money now so no matter how many more times you keep saying " Goodbye Forever " also no use. Who knows a tree falls in the forest? Get over it.

Bro, looks like you need some anger management, toss dart at P-A-P dartboard or smt.

Some salesmen may be crappy but small issue lidat not worth for you typing such a long essay and get soooo angry for it. I rather buy the lens elsewhere and start shooting!

edited: Didnt know P-A-P is a banned word here.. :o

Simple. Just post in your Facebook and parisilk Facebook

Social media is v powerful in spreading messages

I have no opinion on that.... but just be aware what whatever one write... one will be liable..... so my 2 cents advise is, if you really want to do it.... cool off first than write, best get some good friends to vet it.... not worth in the end got a friendly lawyer letter and you got to apologize instead.....:rolleyes:

I decided to buy a Nikon lens 85 1.8G from parisilk ...And he quoted me “600 dollars BY CASH including GST ...said “the price has gone up, its not 599, its 629 dollars”.

Cool it my friend. There is no need to blacklist a shop over $29. There will be other occasions when you can find things to buy from there. Sometimes you win, other times just walk away.

Usually i speak to Kelvin, the boss and he is ok as i don't like to deal with others.
