Hi, I'm a newbie to rangefinder and recently I advertise to buy some lens.
I have got an offer from a guy have nick name: NorthernLights for a Canon 50mm LTM f1.4
He said that the lens is a very sharp copy without any problem.
We process to deal yesterday at StarBuck near PSA building. I believe that he's a senior member on CS (join from 2002, and nearly 40 years old) so I didn't check it careful (he come suddenly when I having lunch). He told me that now until Tuesday when I leave for UK, he have the right to buy it back if he want and at the same time I could return it to him if I do not like it.
After getting back home I found there are some haze on 1 middle element of the lens that is hard to see in strong light (at 12.30PM - the dealing time). I just can see it in dim ambient light in my room. After finding that I told him to return it back but he refused and said I may damage the lens (the haze of the internal element -> so how can I 'put' the haze into his lens:sweat:???) and he refused to get it back and only he said he didn't warranty for it and only he can decide whether to buy it back or not :nono:
It's not a big trouble as the haze do not affect much on the image quality and I think it can remove by CLA (just about 50-100$) but I ready to leave Singapore soon -> I have no time for it.
I know the warranty statement is not a written statement so I cannot do anything to force him to warranty it for me.
I still keep all the SMS between me and this guy.
Just write this topic to warn everyone about him:
