Anyone care to share how much they bought the bg-e5 battery grip?
$175 cash from Alan Photo - Sim Lim. Great to have.

wow, 175... that is cheap. Did you get any additional battery too?
When I first got my battery grip, I could practically hear my camera go, "You complete me!"... honest to God...
OK, it's a must for me. Gives me just the right weight and balance. Plus I've got large hands, without the grip, my pinky is always hanging loose.
same thing here! though its heavy but i feel that after putting it on, it brought my shooting experience to a new level![]()
;pthis thread is very convincing..i find myself started to think of getting a grip.
i presumed it as a last-on-the-shopping-list accessory previously:think:
Not to mention the option of using additional battery packs and having a 6 AA battery case for standby. Sounds great, doesn't it?
It's good that the battery grip allows AA battery. In some countries, it may be difficult to get the lithium battery for your DSLR if the current one not working. While AA batteries are very common in most countries. It may rescue your day.![]()
any of u ppl using/recommend good quality 3rd party grip? may be it'll save some $$;p
i'm also afraid 3rd party grip may screw up the electronic contacts inside my 40D:lovegrin:
