10-men Arsenal beat Blackburn in extra-time! Denilson was sent off after a scuffle with Savage (I guess) with Eduardo scoring a brace! Woo hoo!

i think he got a red card for a 2-footed sliding tackle on i forgot who. basically he lost his head after barazite was being bullied off the ball. oh well...

but it was a gutsy show though. the young ones were running rings around blackburn in the 1st 30 mins

here's another report on the game, though might be a tad biased

Next stop, another local derby against Tottenham @ home ... they are enjoying a revival under new manager Ramos ... they'd see themselves as the underdogs thus they have nothing to lose ... they'll go all out! ... btw just learnt that we'll be playing against them 3 times over the next 4 weeks due to Carling Cup ...

For local derbies like this one, the form book goes outta the window. Take nothing for granted, Spurs would be up for it.

The seniors (1st team) would like to show the 2nd team how to beat Spurs in the Carling semi-final.

AW would be sticking to his guns on playing the 2nd team for the Carling Cup, no more bring in the big guns for the final if Arsenal made it.

Gonna be another wild and crazy night at Elizabeth Hotel, thinking of watching the match there.
Atmosphere is really wonderful !!!

Never been there ... maybe one of these days we can organise a chill-out session there?

Hmmm.. we got AC Milan for the Champs League.

Point of comfort is that the italians seemed to be struggling at home matches.

Anyway, it's just a matter of time ... to be the champion, you'll have beat even the best of the lot! Go gunners!

Celtic v Barcelona
Lyon v Manchester United,
Schalke 04 v FC Porto
Liverpool v Internazionale
AS Roma v Real Madrid
Arsenal v AC Milan
Olympiakos v Chelsea
Fenerbahçe v Sevilla

Arsenal and Liverpool have the most "watchable" matches

funny manu always get easier opponents most of the time. (not all easy, but mostly easy)
:dunno:

Woo hoo! Another win! On second thought, if Almunia couldn't save Keane's penalty, the game would have turned out very differently ...

Well done Almunia!

Hope we can keep the lead till the new year comes. :)

Arsenal won against Spurs!

Manu is playing the French champions so have to give some respect to Lyon.

AC Milan isnt so tough this year (and they are not doing well in Serie A).. so its not impossible for Arsenal to beat them and go to the next round. Plus their players are getting older..

We are still top of the league which mean we don't have to fear anyone. And the team would be hungry for success in Europe.

Arsenal needs to win games like these against The Establishment (Milans, Bayerns & Reals) so as to establish themselves as a force to be reckon with in Europe.

--------------

Arsenal players and staff helped raised 175K for autism charity (treehouse) by donating a day's wages.

“We have two targets this season,” William Gallas, the captain, said, “to win silverware and to raise £250,000 for TreeHouse.”

kaka is in ac milan right?

If we can contain Kaka, the battle is half-won ... but it'll be a tall order though ... by winning European and World Player of the year means he's already in the Masterclass ...

Arsenal's defence needs some boosting up, its been wanting for a few years now since the ironmen of the 80/90s retired. :P

The next 3 EPL matches will not be easy ... away to Portsmouth and Everton and then West Ham at home ... all these are the top-10 sides.

Guess to claim championship, getting good results from these matches is expected ...

anyone watch the manu v everton game? it was heading for a draw until pienaar gave away that penalty. thats all fine cos such things do happen...but it was the way he did it that seems suspicious.

I was hoping that Everton can hold out for a draw.. but anyway no point think of conspiracy theories here.. in the long run the table doesnt lie. :D

I am just glad that Arsenal doesnt have the negative press that Manu is enduring now over their Christmas 'Party'

i was hoping for at least a draw or a win for everton too! Everton are tough customers...pity they gave up something last minute. Ronaldo wasnt involved in the rape at party case, so i guess he's free from stress. :P
