Arsenal Football Club - The Gunner's Thread 2

Finally, the boring WC Qualifiers are over ... it's back to club business!

William Gallas, Bacari Sagna and Nicklas Bendtner are definitely out ... we need a mini-revival here, starting with the weekend home match against Everton!

Go Gunners!

Can they replace Adebayor with anybody during the second half? I don't mind even if Arsene Wenger himself comes on.

Yeah ... I totally agree ... in addition if I can change personnels, it'll be Adebayor (he hardly contributed), RVP (his shots were no doubt vicious and no second-touch required but lacked accuracy) and Alex Song (who seemed out of sorts, out of place).

To me the first half was tough to watch ... same old, same old, especially Fabregas was having a poor game - his distribution was poor. Thank goodness we really improved in the second half, especially when we saw players like Nasri fighting for every loose ball which was something I have not seen from Arsenal for a very long while. Not forgetting our debutante Silvestre had a good game too!

Next game we'll be away to Fenerbahce ... hostile crowd and a team which is desperate to register their win ... we gotta stay sharp and fight for every ball cos the Turkish side will do just that!

Go Gunners!

It's a great game! We beat Fenerbahce this morning with a fantastic scoreline of 5-2! Woo hoo! My only wish now is that we'll be consistent for the rest of the season ... and it's great to have Diaby back ... this lad is very versatile; he can literally play anywhere in midfield (some even commented he plays more like a Helb than Viera) even just behind the striker!

Go Gunners!

Haven't seen the replays from the match yet but from all accounts, Arsenal were superb in midfield and attack. I love to see the team scoring goals from all over the pitch and I am glad those days of being over-reliant on Henry are long gone. Imagine getting a Champions League goals at the age of 17 like Ramsay - fantastic stuff. The average age was only 23 so the future's bright.

There's no telecast of the West Ham match?

Hmm.. Adebayor is not in the starting lineup today. AW already notices the lack of contribution from him in recent games.

Adebayor came from the bench and scored 1 goal and made 1 assist (according to my Fantasy Soccer stats) ;)

An example of AW showing the other players that he will bench them if they dont perform?

Spurz just changed manager ('drrty harry') and predictabily they won against bolton. Arsenal play Spurz (who are still bottom of the table) this Wed. This could be a potential banana skin for us..

Yup, Adebayor finally performed when he had too. Hope the benching keeps his ego in check.

The next match against Spurs is interesting, there is the added bonus of deflating the supposed "revival" of our fierce rivals.

Arsenal left it late to seal the match ... the next one against Rednapp's Spurs will be tricky; Harry'll definitely want a sustained response from his under-achieving side ...

Hope the game against the luckless spurs wont be a banana peel for us. :sweatsm:

spurs can be dangerous with harry at helm...

We'll do well against the Spurs as long as we don't take them lightly ... I'm sure they'll play the game of their life and try to impress Harry as it's known that he'll be bringing in some new faces come January ...

Go Gunners!

The score is currently tied @ 1-1 with Ex-Gunner Bentley scoring first (13th minute) and equalised by our new signing Silvestre (37th minute).

Come on Gunner!

4-2 to arsenal @ 68 min.

Almunia is competing against gomes to see who has more slippery fingers. Thankfully our strikers doing their jobs well.

Oh no ... the game ended with a 4-4 scoreline ... sheesh ...
