Are you sick of mediacorp's idol shows?

i will only watch these programmes if they bring in the real FEAR FACTOR series to Singapore. People who have the guts to go thru this kind of process deserves to be real life idols.
hmm.. i think its not bad at all, the entertainment value is indeed there.. but i think thats only for the 1st season, everything is quite fresh and interesting..
subsquently, i think the passion has died down.. i think its too close apart and too many competition going on at the same time.. SI vs superband..
anyway i went superband finals at expo, the feeling is darn good and high...

dun mind i "whine" a bit ah...
the "super band" really turns me off, "superstar" also. so poseur-ish, i think one thing important about bands is their attitude and agenda. example "beyond", they compose their own meaningful and original songs and sing them with genuine feeling.
"super band" on tv? mostly belting out cover songs, and mostly about acting cool. where's ths substance? Ok, still young, have energy lah, must enjoy while young. ok, maybe gd for kids to watch and get high for a while.
jue dui "superstar" or SI, win already accomplish wad? in the end also manipulated into public images by record companies/ national agenda. a bit like puppet.
maybe im just getting old lah, or maybe this is the norm now, the focus is on "fashion" and exterior and material stuff. perhaps that's the mass teens' taste. personally, it irks me.
perhaps these r efforts to... cultivate some sort of culture. wish the national tv luck. or maybe becos my taste is too off-mainstream.

It seems that they are comming up with the Dance reality show on the 5.
My god ! when are they gonna stop comming up with all this S**T........Hope there will not come a day that all this reality shows will be shown twenty four seven

I guess its their way of making money with their excellent marketing such that so many people actually dial like crazy for their favourite idols.

but for all the super idol series ( super man , super women , super girl , super boy ) i really have no idea, everytime they on such shows , i will switch my tv to play dvd shows or play x box, or i can log into web to check out international tv programmes on real topics, topics that prompts u 2 b a thinker. i like active programmes than passive 1s.
if 1 needs to noe why singapore n creativity is never that closely link , 1 need not look further , cause the local programmes already shows that , no substance in the super idol shows already , if u find a cash cow , Go Milk Them , n repeat .
but then who cares rite ? after all the people who approves it can happily earn fat pay checks,
the more shows that emphasize on such emptiness , the more under nourish is the viewer in the quest for knowledge.
