The other way around bro...
LOL...... Could not see the difference. My guess is based on the 1:1 magnification of the Contax N.
The other way around bro...
Hi MWP,
Grey sets will have higher labour cost.
Freight charges will also be charged to the customer.
We, as the distributor will facilitate as repairs.
Warranty is like insurance.
As long as IF your lens needs at least a ONE time repair, it will be cheaper to get a local set.

You mean shooting in general, or shooting macro specifically?
General shooing, the 100MP has focus confirmation with the 5D3, so to me it is fine.
Macro requires quite a bit more control to get focus lock due to the very shallow DOF.
I've tried shooting handheld macro and it CAN be done, though not easy. For still life, still possible depending on your handholding technique.
If the insect is fast moving, I wouldn't advise using this lens, its way too slow. I'd say go with the 100L instead.
I took a couple of shots at the Sentosa flower festival...can post them when I get back and process. Spent some time with bro Obelix and family and tried out his Contax 100MP which has AF and can do 1:1 macro. If macro is your objective, I think this is a better option.
For portraits, the ZE100MP is a dream lens, even the ZE50MP is excellent.
Thanks so much for the reply bro!
I mean shooting in general. Am using a 5D2 with EG-S screen and that helps greatly with manual focusing. As I only use the centre focusing point, the screen let me pick up the exact point I want to be in focus. I found that I can't do that well using the stock screen.
I had the 50MP ZE lens before. THE lens that made me fall in love with Zeiss lenses!![]()
Kenneth67C said:Hey no problem, just sharing...one thing though, sometimes you want to lock on, you don't know whether to trust your eyes or wait for the focus "beep".
Just be ready that when it beeps, you immediately press all the way.
Rose for romantics...
Zeiss 100 (don't know which one...lol): 1/200s, f5.6, iso1600.
Very nice shot!
Just tried with my friend's 5D3 and 100MP over the weekend. Think. Will just stick to my 5D2 with EG-S screen. Quite hard to focus for me. Bad eyes!
On the bright side, it did save me some serious money though...![]()
Kenneth67C said:Save money because you're not getting the 5D3 or not getting the 100MP?
Not getting the 5D3. Can't focus accurately with the stock screen lah. :/
Alternatively, get the Contax N100 Macro Sonnar. It is Auto-focus. Will not strain your eyes.![]()
Think the conversion will be very expensive!!!
I got 1 converted copy and 1 more in the process of conversion at Conurus. It will be put up for sale once it is ready in a few months time.
Saw a WTS post in FM forum a week ago - a converted N100 going for USD1.2+k. Comparing this to the cost of a used ZE100MP, which ranges from USD1.4k to 1.6k, isn't it a steal?
Cool! Why are you putting up for sale bro?
Is the optical formula the same?
Kenneth67C said:Can't be the same, as the Contax Zeiss 100MP has 1:1 macro ability.
I'd be seriously tempted if I did not already have so many lenses... lol
ZE50MP: f2.8, 1/125s, iso200.
I see! Thanks for the info!
This shot is very bokehlicious! Makes me miss my 50MP!!!
You sold the 50MP? Had problems focusing? Its a beautiful lens.
I thought I couldn't do without the 50L. Seems I was wrong...![]()
