Why do they talk so much about the EVF? It reads more like a Ken Rockwell review based on a spec sheet. They could have spend a bit more time with other aspects like the AF.

Because the "reviewer" is a hardcore OVF user. So he'll use the time for a looooong rant.

You can consider the 6D as well. lol Seriously, both are totally different cameras. I have the feeling you have no clue what you want. ;-) In that case better don't buy anything.

Totally different classes of camera.

Ask yourself... A37 or A77 (if they had the same sensor)?

Both are still very different. You you know the differences it's an easy choice depending on what you want.

nothing bro hehe just that reading about D600 and D800 it seems bang for bucks is D600... so was considering A99 and D600. A99 I know is designed more towards videographers... which I don't really even my A33, A55 and A77 I hardly use that features. That's why I have posted my A77 setup coz I am planning to move or try FF and currently these cameras are in mind (sorry I am not considering Canon as of the moment)

Anyways wrong thread to post such remarks..

Never mind me just had too much kopi today...

Because they jumped in, 2 feet first, and were thoroughly convinced the D800 would be king, and had the best high ISO. Then the D600 came out at a much cheaper price.

The D800 owners complaining about the D600 are not utilizing the D800 (in itself a darn impressive tool) for it's intended purpose/to it's potential. They are stuck in the "everything revolves around high ISO" mentality.

Now you want A99 vs D800? Well, then you need to ask yourself... How important is high end video to you? Do you need high ISO or maximum resolution at low ISO? Do you like the EVF or die die must be OVF?

I know what I want bro just don't know what model to move next... A99 seems good so far D600 the price is very attractive and it seems very good camera also....

I'll skip Canon for now :-)

as mentioned bro really eyeing A99 and D600 but let see how 1st... to me EVF or OVF shouldn't be the deal breaker.... ISO yes its one of the reason why I have posted my A77 BnS coz I still find it not yet there. Video capabilities I think since A33, A55 and A77 all these are video capable bodies and sadly I almost never use them... maybe not into videography hehe... So I guess two things bang for bucks and ISO form me.

Well, high ISO is great on the A99 and D600. So do you need fast Af in live view? An articulating LCD? A built-in GPS? Software features like mad?
