Well, high ISO is great on the A99 and D600. So do you need fast Af in live view? An articulating LCD? A built-in GPS? Software features like mad?

Good to have but not really a deal breaker for me.. One concerns when I jump ship are the lenses :-( I need to do a refresh which is not that good idea actually. Yeah so far both A99 and D600 handles ISO pretty good just that I notice the noise on A99 looks like the noise pattern on A77 a bit bigger....

Well, all we've seen so far are early firmware shots. Let's see what the final results are.

As it is, the noise patters from the D600 and A99 look almost identical from online comparisons.

I must admit that I agree with them about EVF.

I just can't get accurate expression when shooting in studio environment or extremely dark area.

Ah, I love this "early firmware" myth, the joke never gets old. Companies like Sony are good at fooling us pretty well.

I know what I want bro just don't know what model to move next... A99 seems good so far D600 the price is very attractive and it seems very good camera also....

If in doubt buy both. You have the best of both world :thumbsup::sweat:

Been lurking around these parts, I think I'll go buy a A57 (to replace the A55) and wait for A99 MK II :bsmilie:

Yeah, I don't think it's ever worth making tiny upgrades like that. Either you make a bigger jump or you just stick with what you already have.

Although the D600 may seems to be "more bang for bucks"
But seems like almost every "identical" lens from the Nikon will cost quite abit more compared to Sony's. (am i right?)
So in the end. Its still will be the same or maybe Nikon will cost more (especially if you were to buy more than 1 lens).

That's the cost of switching system
But I put my faith in competition; if now you in loosing side, it'll not for forever (except if you close shop)
What competitor's achieve, our "ship" will achieve also soon or later (It's like my starhub, although I paid the cheapest home internet package, they are twice upgrade the "speed" without any extra cost - but I still hate them)

(and yes, last time my understanding also Sony is less expensive compared to C/N)

I must agree I manage briefly to have this camera and actually it's a good cam when it come to ISO I could easily shoot ISO1600 with acceptable noise

Also have still my A300, though it's in Japan right now. The A3x0 series got crowned as the noise king but I love the noise pattern, it beats all my newer cameras.

According to XE.com... It's 4124.81 SGD (Edit: WHOOPS, that's without the VG, you're right, with the VG it's about 4440)

If A99 body alone is about 4k here (or 3999 SGD, some nonsense like that) then the HK deal is SWEET.

It also has a 94MB/s 32GB SD card, a spare battery, the handstrap...

but not good for shopping hehehe crap I have asked for travel quote and I think I could stay in a very good hotel in HK for my hotel and airfare to Tokyo hehehe. But the kids wanted to see Japan :-9 and also I kinds promise them.

There goes my A99 Dec shopping wish list I doubt Japan pricing would be cheaper than SG :-( even their 2nd hand market in Akihabara is not that cheap also....

PS what's your plan date? ours is from Mid Dec
