A99

Yeah, with some sony secrets. Looks like there are connector ports in the front section for new uber-geek plug in accessories (like pro audio I/O, etc) but you can now easily use pocketwizards, etc.

awesome!! sorry to say this but I dont like the current Sony flash hotshoe :P

Cool, ISO ends at 6400. ^^

Really surprised by only 6fps and such a low ISO cap. Sony has made such stunning improvements in sensors over the years it's a letdown. It's almost a900 standard - seems the focused everything on video.

D4 is looking very good now

And just the same PDAF sensor than the A77, just 19 points laid out the way I don't like it. I don't care much about the other 119 non-selectable points...

The Solid Orange colour rim around the sensor is really Sweet! =) dang i fall in love with the design

I think I'm starting to loose interest. I was really hoping they would finally come out with a better AF system. Jeez, why didn't they update the AF sensor...

They added auto-ISO in M mode. Just confirmed by Richard Butler from DPR.

Yup. D800 or D4 are looking good.

the flash mount is different, cannot use the old minolta or other older sony external flash? yay!

Seems that is just a dpreview mistake, it goes up to 25600: http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/st...&productId=8198552921666485827#specifications

And it isn't 119 assist points but 102...

I was hoping "SteadyShot INSIDE" would work in movie mode. Oh well...

lol, that's a known issue for some time already.

The 25600 is the "multi frame NR" mode. Look at the videos for the A99 on youtube and you can see that even 6400 is a "boost" mode already.
Are you serious? Jeez, I'm almost crying at my desk. :'(

Battery life with EVF is also a bit disappointing, just 410 shots. Hard to find anything positive about the camera right now.

Battery life is ok, especially since it uses the FP500 batteries. :D

For me, the A99 is 70% video cam, 30% still shoots.

And even hardwarezone had a sample for a while now. Grrr.

And yes, stabilization works in video too.

Mh, the Sony US product page says 'no':

"For still images: Image Sensor-Shift mechanism, For movies: Electronic"

The video shooters on YouTube all say "yes". ;)

But chances are it's like the A77 - so it's not the mechanical SSS, but the digital IS that uses a center crop of the sensor and intelligently shifts the "active section" around.
