A99

Yes, it takes a long time to open. :nono:
Why all pictures are of different things ?:dunno:
The ISO 25600 looks as good as my 5D3. ;p
Need more pic and test:think:

Yes, but it's the noise pattern that worries me. The A99 noise pattern is the type that is difficult to clean without destroying details.

yeah A77 RAW files at high ISO is really like painting after you clean it using LR :-( that's how bad it is

sigh I guess I'll have to wait for those dumping thier A850/A900 cheaply lolz

Why? The A99's IQ is certainly not any worse than the A900/850. :vhappy:
Anyway, where is your enthusiasm about the A77? :cheergal: Being negative is off-topic.

A77 at low ISO is awesome JPEG is good also but I normally shoot RAW. Still a good cam... wanted to try FF so was thinking A99 I'll probably have to wait but the sample pix seems is a huge improvement from A77 even jpeg OOC

hoping to see a full review soon :-)

It's definitely better than the A850/A900 at high ISO. No doubt about that.

We'll need to wait for the controlled reviews where we can compare against the other cameras.

My concern about DPReview is that they will use the Sony 50mm f/1.4 lens again, which is not the sharpest lens out there... This usually negatively impacts the reviews.

It also doesn't work with AF-D though that's not going to influence the sharpness.

AF-D is more important for sports or video shooting. So not having the 50mm enabled is fine by me. :)

Wish and pray the next FF would be more of a pure still camera.

Don't think there is a need to photoshop it. They can simply mount the lens. ;-)

As bro Rashkae said if theu use this lens for thier controlled testing it may not represent the camera well :-( anyways based on the sample pix i think A99 is very much worthy upgrade from A77 those thinking of going FF

Yeah but Rashkae isn't working for dpreview.com I guess. ;-) It's pretty unlikely they are changing their testing practice.

I think there is hope dpreview.com updates to the new 50mm f/1.4 once it's out in 6 months. Though, as I know Sony it might take them longer.

Wondering who will be the first to get it in local. I need to wait for next FF model and for now, build up lens and also, max my A850 usage.

"The main downside of a dual phase-detection autofocus is the disadvantage that tends to apply to all phase-detection systems - that it only covers a relatively small areas at the center of the frame."

Dont like the AF points.. all cramp and squeezed into the center. Hmm..what about the sides?

Isn't it the same with all PDAF systems? I don't see any evolution since the A33/55, they already had the same layout so maybe this isn't really unexpected. Sony loves this PDAF sensor layout and I'm sure they do it for a reason. It probably proved to be the most efficient in most shooting situations.

Perhaps it may not represent A99 well, but at least you know any difference in the test image quality is due to the lens and not the sensor ;)
