Buy buy buy, u wanta pay for me hah? :bsmilie:

I dunno buy what, pay what .................. I not Sony user .... MTL!! BBB!!! is just my "Kou Tou Chan" .................. :bsmilie:

High chance it can... but probably only in very specific situations like low light or motion tracking etc. Both of these situations require some extrapolation based on prior data, so it's probably possible to improve the accuracy and speed. (and also a matter of whether sony wants to do it or not)

I'm quite sure that this being their flagship for the moment, they'll want to do everything to boost it's standing among the pros and serious amateurs who are sufficiently discerning enough to want better AF under tricky lighting conditions.

WAAAAHHHHH....................................................

I test drove the A900 in Taipei Sonystyle Taipei 101.... it's fantastic lar... so light (lighter than my 7D + grip + 2 batteries + 17-35mm lens). The A900 had the 24-70mm on... and the AF was awesome - relative to my 7D... the screen was mind-boggling... totally sold on it... except the file size... I need to take a good look at the JPEG file sizes cos I shot 3 frames on my own CF card...

Anyway prices are the same as in S'pore... all prices same as online... no deals... not good here... should buy in S'pore... support our own economy.

i guess u getting it soon for Christmas?

While SONY is making big waves in their DSLR bodies, I am starting to feel annoyed with their crawling progress in lens range...

Their kit lenses are so-so and some even suck big time. Only their ZEISS and G lenses sparkle in performance.

SONY, please STEP ON IT!!! I'm getting impatient!!!

Also, their zoom rings are badly designed; those tiny groves collects grime and dirt so easily and are so hard to get cleaned.:angry:

No lar... next year... Still sticking to my purchase plan... although my batteries for the 7D is giving problems already - the 6 of them are not really holding charge very well anymore... the batteries are between 2 to 4 years old though...

Am I right to say that the A900 VG cannot use AA batteries?

Oooh... I FEAR old and used lenses....

To each it's own bros. There are people who are ok with old stuff and there are others who prefer brand new ones.

But there again, new range may not have what the older range can offer like the 17-35mm, 35-70mm and the 70-210mm. Of course these are consider cheap lenses when you compare them to the Zeiss 16-35mm & the 70-200mm SSM. But the price and quality of these older lenses are

Errr... anyone knows? Vertical grip for A900 can use AA batteries or not?

I have ask the same question at the SONY life-style showroom in orchard.
The sony guy told me the A900 VG cannot use AA batteries.

IF the A900 was built to run on AA batteries, it would require an incredible number of AA batteries... just imagine the size of the verticle grip then. :bsmilie:

If you use 2700mAh NiMH batteries, 8 of them would be sufficient... the grip is large enough to take 8 batteries... but I think the restriction has to do with the Infolithium circuit implemented... I was told by Alan Photo that SONY cameras don't take compatibles very well... not sure if that is true... cos the battery that came with my SON W300 is not an Infolithium... but an original SONY battery nonetheless.
