There are many cameras cater for different buyers....look at Leica.

I also don't understand this I cannot afford it then it won't sell logic. If u want an affordable ff camera, look at a7, if u want apsc, look at a6000. A7rm2 is clearly a highend camera aiming at professionals or rich amateurs.
 

Right now I think there is no competition for a7RM2. There is simply no camera can match the resolution of the sensor and the feature set.

5DS has higher resolution, but the video capability is far below a7rm2, also lacks ibis and the ability to adapat vitually all lenses.

Becoz he think that if he keep posting i cant afford and it cant sell logic then sony will lower the price down ma LOL

Compare to other FF cameras the A7r2 price is understandable. The only camera i felt i may have overpayed for was rx1 at almost 4k. Still keeping it though for days when i feel really lazy to bring around a7r gear.

But as i said, the A7rii not for me lah, my lens are the E-mount ....
 

If this is a A-mount body with such solid technology, I sure go for it. Cause of my lenses are A-mount and maybe, the battery life will be better off down there. So, I am waiting for next A-mount body with A7r mk2 stuffs plus more. :D

a7rm2's PDAF can supprot A mount lenses no problem lah.

Why analyse until so deep ?

I did not say that it cannot sell because I cannot afford. I cannot afford and I think it cannot sell are 2 different things.

As i said earlier, I think it cannot sell was bcos I was comparing the current price of 5Dm3 vs A7Rii (and of cos bllimus has corrected me that the model should be comparing is 5DSR ... which I didn't know there was such a model). So my comparison was based on the wrong assumption that 5dM3 was the current latest from Canon ...

If u want an affordable ff camera, look at a7, if u want apsc, look at a6000. A7rm2 is clearly a highend camera aiming at professionals or rich amateurs.

I am not looking for a FF camera but yes I certainly agree at USD3,200 is clearly for professional and the rich ...

Correction. 5D3 is NOT in the same league as A7Rii since the latter has not been released yet.

Do you happen to know if recording in 4K, can it record continously until the SD card is full without the 29 mins restriction ?

Problem lies in the adapter sometime will lost connection when I turn the camera body to vertical or during zoom as my lens too heavy with LAEA4. :(
