A7r mk2

Even though he said waiting for A7s2, by the time A7r2 launch, he definitely will buy too LOL

Or by that time, Sony will announce that they will be abandoning the A7 series and start a new B8 series liao ... :mad2: :hung: :hammer: :sticktong :)

wah paiseh man, i only compare the A7Rii with Canon's 5DM3 ....

USD 3,200 not expensive meh ? Certainly not my league leh ...

If u remember...launched price of 5DM3 in 2012...

Canon has announced the Canon EOS 5D Mark III, the latest in its enthusiast full-frame 5D series and successor to the popular EOS 5D Mark II.........It will be available from the end of March with an MSRP of $3499 / €3299 / £2999.99.

For wide-angle Rangefinder lens shooters, the new designed back-illuminated sensor might have a side advantage in helping reduce vignetting, colors shift, reducing corner sharpness. The reason is because this design bring the light receiving surface much closer to the microlenses thus widen the microlenses light receiving angle. If they could reduce also the sensor surface glass thickness to reduce the "glass stacking" effect, it would be the rangefinder wide angle lens shooters' dream. Looks promising .....

No common sense at all.

Maybe it is better to compare apples with apples..

out of my reach also maybe I wait for 2nd hand unit haha

Just wondering...When or will E mount ever have their own 2.8 zooms.
For me..Mounting a extra adapter is just a deal breaker for me.

bigger lens is heavy enough.. n still have to add another adapter and extra weight. (cost also..obviously) Nah....

Maybe I'll stick to my A99 with 2.8 zooms and A7 series for primes.. Differences between 1.8-1.4 I'm ok. But 4-2.8..I just couldn't..

Just stick to a mount then. I dont think there will be 2.8 zooms for e mount soon if ever

The E mount system capitalises on its small size thus a big f2.8 zoom is going to weigh down the system by a lot. Don't think it will be possible also as f2.8 zooms for E mount may cannibalise the sales of the A mount system.

But yet fuji has them for their X mounts. So at least Sony can have for their non-FE e mounts.

The time is now, it is the present. It is now that you are deciding to buy a camera.

If you are in the market now deciding to buy between 5DM3 Vs A7Rii, of cos you compare the price of both now .. why compare price of 5DM3 in 2012 vs price of A7rii in 2015 ?

Doesn't make sense to compare price of 5DM3 in 2012 vs price of A7rii in 2015 if you are getting a camera now ...

Hahaha ... cheers

If local selling 4k plus, it's still consider ok. Imagine you could use so many kind of lens with adapter and got ibis. Then a 42mp sensor plus other nice features. Other brand just give you a body and let you go buy their expensive lenses with IS liao, heh heh!

In that case it makes more sense to compare 5DSr to A7Rii. Again your argument holds no weight. Simple fact. 5D3 was released in 2012. A7Rii will be released in August 2015. That's 3+ years difference. You can of course, wait 3+ years and by then am quite sure the price of an A7Rii would come down significantly :)

I oredi said in my earlier post that i did not know there is a 5DSr .... and my comment was based on the assumption of 5DM3 vs A7rii ... I oredi qualified that ...

Anyway, we are talking about buying the camera in 2015, not 2012 or 2018

Yeah that being the case, you think Sony can sell A7Rii ?

For me, it's beyond me so have to wait for the cheaper A6xx or A7000 :)

Then why still go on this angle? If price high, don't buy. If price is acceptable for what it offers and you can afford, buy. It's all about what you value.

Different cameras offer different strengths and have different weaknesses. There is no perfect camera out there.

Whether Sony A7Rii can sell or not at their asking price, that's for the various buyers to decide.
