A55 availability status

Yup. I also vomit blood as well. Their staff gave inconsistent status and not even sure what model is for what.
Somemore selling at retail price without freebies. I wonder who will buy from them.
When i was there last sunday, i cant even find a33 on display and the staff told me stock all sold, even for display set. I was like "huh", all other shops still have stock and selling at lower price with freebies. Anyway sonystyle is a good place to try out the cameras though.

Thx Ouverture for the ISO comparison shots.
I think for A33 and A55, their ISO is comparable up till 1600. ISO3200 onwards then can start to see abit of difference.
The multishot ISO mode is good though, cleans up more noise than not using it. Guess it'll be good for low light still life shots.

Sony Style is just a place to test out the camera, not buy. Many times, the staffs often gave wrong information.
The staff are not photographers, manily laypeople with some basic training. They also have to sell headphones, handphones, laptops, TVs, handycams, etc etc.

hmmm I am not sure how each company trains thier staff... but I have a relative who once worked at famous sporting shop and they have tons of sport shoes brands and model and type but thier company send them for training specially those newly released models and they should be able to recommend the correct model/type to customer e.g. x-training shoes what they are good at and what's the good point and weak point of a certain model etc.
Well that could be that shop.... I am not sure about Sony... some more this is Sony showroom not 3rd party shops
atleast thier staff should be knowledable enough to know the new line ups... Was there asking only if they have A33/A55 the sale folk look at me with blank eyes.... Anyways not really complaining just posting the funny experienced I've encounter

Sony is a reputable company and Sony style is belongs to them.Any new product introduced must be briefed to staff and should have some basic knowledge of the product available.That is norm in market.If can't even understand about the model name itself,it is poor performance management.This is very much matters in BRAND IMAGE.If they can allowed to happen even after days that is due to lack of interest in business...and no need to be defended.
