The package was A33+ 18-250 + 50 f1.8 + 2 uv filters (FOC) + 8gb MS Pro HX (foc) + lousy bag lowpro alpha (foc) @ 1520 (paid by CC)

I dunno if this is a good deal but A55 same setup as aboce was almost $270 more expenssive

I have not really play around with it... Coming from Oly E-620 the menu is totally different

I've all along been interested wih Sony SLT A33/A55 and with Oly not releasing any other entry level DSLR was the turning point of me giving my well hard earn $$ to Sony...

So to me was actually not really a surprise it was just a matter of time for me to Join the Alpha family, and that time came when my missus gives me the thumbs up to get another camera ^_^

Thanks Bro I dunno if I have made the correct move and if the price given to me by MS Color was really a good deal. I've opt not to get the 18-55 Kit lens and gotten the 18-250 and 50 f1.8 MS color told me that those two lenses cost already 1K...

I'll test run the cam and see how it fares with my old oly

Go MS color bro highly recommended I went to AMK Hub branch very friendly shop manager and honest. But be ready he'll talk you out in getting A55 its more bang for your bucks. My setup if I get A55 will pay extra 270bucks. I also like A55... looking at the two A33 and A55 i find that they share almost 97% of the features the only difference is the faster continious shots, 2MP higher resolution, and GPS the rest like size, buttons layout, functions, menus all the same.

I was talk out of getting A55 as I'm a budget concern person... Also they have purchase in purchase discount for Sony Lens... you might get 30-40% disount to some lenses if you purchase on the spot with your Body.

I've tested the A33 for the XXnth time at Sony Style store.

This time concentrating on the EVF IQ. And comparing it side by side, one after another with the A850 there.

Based on manual focusing, I can't understand why others are making so much negative "noise" about it. I used to own bridge cameras like Panasonic FZ5,FZ30,FZ50 and using those EVF is like in the stone age, rarely use them.

With my less than 20/20 vision, the A33/A55 EVF implementation with the zoom 7x, 14x feature is much more useful to me than A850 large OVF, like for instances, if my lens is having back or front focusing issue.

But both are more than plentiful for me to view through.

Quick update:

Battery life of A33/55 which many reviews had bashed.

I took 250 shots with 4-5 video clips each average 2mins duration, coupled with reviewing, playing with settings and some shots with inbuilt flash and I still left with 55% battery life.

NOT BAD for a first charge though!!!

yeah I did notice that also A33 is rated at 270 shots while A55 320/340 shots using the same battery... hmm interesting to know how maybe it's due to the newer Sensor? I think when GFS is set on this may eat some battery juice.

But having GPS is a good one also specially if you want your photo to have geo tags information... (just becareful someone might be able to trace where have you been just by looking at your photos geo tag info) lols
