Did some non-scientific and non-artistic shots for comparison between A33, A55 and NEX5, all using kit lens at 35mm.

All shots are 100% crop with no PP done, JPEG direct from cam.

Now for the most interesting part. I have tried using the multi-shot for ISO, which the camera takes a few shots and combine into 1 for really good clean shots.

As compared to....? Please list another SGD 1200-1500 camera that has fast AF in liveview and video, great high ISO, a flip-out LCD, hand-held HDR, sweep pano, twilight mode and 10 FPS.

Haha... Precisely.... The closest competitor would be D7000, at close to 2k, and X mas release probably...

So Impressed by it that,,, I will be a convert to the Sony Camp... hurhur

Good series bro! looking at A33/Nex since they have the same sensor and engine (Processor/algorithm) the photo are almost the same...

With A55 having new Sensor and more pixel density it could capture more information and cleaner shot at highr ISO.

Oh A55 has ISO braketing auto stitch? nice.... The only gripe I have with Sony entry Level SLT/SLR are its AE bracketing only 3. or .7 stop increment while the other brand at same range ging up to 2 stops... but this is for those HDR/AE bracketing freaks out there) who love to stitch multiple photos.

I was waiting for this camera, and just asked Cathay, price is $1250 with 18-55 lens, and $1650 for 18-250

Yes. Body option is avail ard $1150 but not many stocks avail for this option.

Thanks, not much difference then, as SLR Revolution has the A55 with 18-55 for $1199. Well, can still use the lens for the kids.
