entry level bodies.. i guess wait for A800..
And while looking at the series being used you might want to wait forever. More likely is the numbering going up in the existing hundred series, Ie. 730 or 750.
Name aside, when? :dunno:

Definitely targeted NOT at upgraders, but at the first-time buyer market. Smart.
Frankly speaking, if they really sell it above the existing price of A200 and A300series, then Sony will be shooting blanks easily for these new series unless if they can price them reasonably. Especially when the new offerings from C&N are quite attractive with better CMOS sensors and video...

Most people don't know what they need. Between a DSLR with video and one without, they'll probably pick video capable DSLR. In this world, the best doesnt necessarily win all the time.
One good thing thou, till now, Sony pricing for bodies is always competitive.
i agree. this is a valid concern when the decision point takes into account opinion of significant other(s).....
And their girlfriends didn't care; they just wanted a DSLR to be lightweight and "not so scary/big big". So Sony may be onto something.

Maybe one day they will make a DSLR cum Videocam cum MP3 player cum Handphone. That way the photographer can double as a videographer, listen to his music while shooting a wedding and answer calls from the bride or bridegroom.
Let a DSLR be a DSLR and a videocam be a videocam.
Seems like you guys didn't get my message. Sometimes gimmicks do help in sale. Good products aren't enough, you need good ones that sell.
Noone would give a damn about that best-SLR-ever-made Dynax 9 while all focus was on digital. Hope Sony won't make the mistakes Minolta did.
Not so interested...same old spec with new menu interface.

the battery have changed to NP-FH50 / NP-FH50AMHope they can release a firmware for A200/A300/A350 with the same UI
If they really change the battery as well then well too bad, can't share battery with each other anymore..
