If the specs is really based on this, means there is no change except for new cosmetic looks, which means not worth upgrading...

Was hoping the main change can be CMOS sensor, VGA screen and Video...

Then upgrading to A700 or A900 will do. Or own another system. So can have two system. ;p

The new interface looks interesting but I still want a dial as well.:sticktong

With the processing power of today's cam maybe they could provide a DOF
scale or something right into the menu/display!:light: They could also show the distance
scale right in the screen too, just so much could be done.

Yes, Sony has been one of the most innovative in terms of design and feature set.

Although it seems that CCD sensor is the same, I hope they can improve their high ISO noise and probably bigger OVF...

The new GUI looks very intuitive and userfriendly alright!

Makes me wanna get one too :P

no hints of a A700 replacement though~...
and these 3 new ones don't seem to have video, which many assumed they would add in. only diff looks to be the lcd screen. all are ccd sensors still~
no point for current A2xx 3xx owners to even consider changing

nice new small external flash too~

If they can improve on the high noise level, why not?

Does it look like the hand grip sensor is coming back? :vhappy:
Could it be done through pressure sensors or short ranged IR modules this time round
instead of the metal contacts we used to have?

It looks as if there's less dedicated buttons, I'll be watching out for the A700's replacement.
Love the film 7/ KM 7D function layout but Sony's approach seems different.
Don't want to go deep into the menu just to change a simple thing.:hung:

Definitely targeted NOT at upgraders, but at the first-time buyer market. Smart.

yep 18-55
and 55-200 with motor~

18-55mm? Why 'shorten' the focal point from 70mm to 55mm?

I've been hearing from C and N users that the 18-70mm Sony kitlens are definitely more useful than theirs. Why is Sony doing this? Sighz

Yup... Those buttons and dials are wonderful and fast for the undaunted. Loved the layout of 7D but disliked the AF speed and noise... looks like I'll be hanging on to 7D for a long while more

I agree. In fact I quite like the D90's kit lens at 18-105mm. Remebered that in the old Minolta days, while everyone has standard 28-XXmm lens as a lit lens, Minolta came out with the 24-XXmm lens as a standard lens and it's a very good move i'll say. If only the 16-105mm is cheaper and made a standard kit lens. Whoa....

entry level bodies.. i guess wait for A800..
