is this considered fast or slow?
not sure of the filesize of RAW format, if its 10MB or so, I consider it slow even if its 6 secs.

 ~And I got the Sandisk extreme~

Just to lengthen the post:
Here's the full page D7D advert in the november issue of Stuff Singapore:

266D7Dad001.jpg

And the text is as follow:
Presenting the Konica Minolta Dynax 7D - the world's first digital SLR camera with body-integral Anti-Shake technology. It's revolutionary Anti-Shake system incorporates an extremely sensitive angle-speed sensor and a Smooth Impact Mechanism to precisely shift the CCD to compensate for camera movement on both the vertical and horizontak axis. Unlike digital 'correction' systems, it retains true image quality. Appropriately built into the camera body, the benefits of the Anti-Shake system are readily avialable with all "A" mount lenses; there is no need to purchase expensive image stabilising lenses. Low light photography without the aid of a tripod or high ISO settings can now be attempted with better results using all "A" mount lenses from wide angle, to standard, to telephoto. Little wonder then, that EISA has recognised the Anti-Shake system as the "European Photo Innovation of the Year 2004-2005". And it is not surprising either that other camera manufacturers are getting nervous. Experience the breakthrough Dynax 7D today.

The New Dynac 7D. It'll leave the competion shaking.

p/s: don't mind the typos if any

JPEG write speed is fast, possibly faster than any in the compeition. But RAW write speed is disappointing.

Cheers!

Yeah slower than competitors.. but depends on your usage, I not sure I will ever have chance to fill up the buffer at all, except testing for fun :bsmilie:

Yeah it's a magazine, geeky mag full of gadgets etc. I think Minolta and other camera maker loves the mag or something, I think i had an issue full of X50 together with jacelyn tay... And then another one filled with Nikon D70s.

Don't think it's out yet... I've left a trail of my handphone numbers all over town to call/sms me when the D7D comes in.

Oh please don't flame me!!! I didn't write the ad!!!
;p

I like to shoot sports, so burst of frames is a must for me... :D of course not RAW la.. since its been proven that jpeg has no problem in writing speed, I bet its good enough for me. :)

Well, i think it's on the slow side. I've been thinking about this alot, and was very tempted to jump to Canon 20D, even thought of trying it out at John 3:16, fortunately, it was packed. After many sleepless nights, I think I'll still stick with Dynax 7D, I don't think in the real world I would have many chances to shoot more than 3-4 frames in a sequence. And I had always been a jpeg shooter till recently.

Oh, and D70 is out of the scope... I need a spot meter, I almost shoot exclusively using spot meter. ;p

Well, there's an old saying, information is ammunation. ;p

And I might for once be an early adopter... I have a wedding (no it's not me) coming up end of the month...

edit: after reading my own post, It's obvious it's not me, just try imagine the bridegroom shooting his own wedding... offer tea half-way pick up camera and shoot....

I thought D70 has spot metering? 20D is the one that has partial metering.
