anyway the difference is only the box. cos he will still get hood and pouch.

S$50 for the box and special delivery. It maybe worth it for the seller.

heard about the great news, im not trying to rub it in but I just got mine 2 days ago from hkg. 16500hkd, that makes S$3016 for the exchange rate ive got.

I dont know how worthy is the info but the uncle at the shop i got from mentioned that maybe a new model might be coming. but i really dont bother much, 5Dmk2 is good enough for me.
so for anyone thats wanting to get it and having a chance to go over to hkg, i have the details.

anyway dun make it sounds like i am 'cheating' him leh. he is getting everything new except the box is different from the standalone set.

even myself i dun test it on my cam when i get the lens, to ensure the contact point is clean also. i only check the exterior for any defects.

this is the case whereby the buyer and seller agrees to the price and deals.

It is not your problem/fault if that buyer did not do his homework, too lazy to buy from shops, didn't mind white box, etc, etc. Like what you had said, willing seller and willing buyer.

correct. body warranty only available to the country of purchase... so if anything wrong with your body, need to buy air tix to fly to hk to fix. definitely cost more then $100. only lenses got international warranty.

try my approach instead. find someone to share your purchase in sg.

look at this way, if you cannot find anyone to share your purchase then use the kit lens yourself. then later if you don't want, just sell it, you wun make much losses also.

One of my friend was told by the saleman in HK if he get the camera in HK.We can go back to the distributor and change the warranty card to International warranty.Is that so?

For most camera bodies no, including Nikon and Canon DSLR bodies.

lenses usually is international warranty for 1 year.

if u have noticed, lens warranty card is green color while body is red color.
