5Dmk2 $3.3k with GST

Their 5dmk2 had been 'seasoned' and run in for you by shooting in all types of conditions, terrain and weather with 10,000 shots. Also drop and impact tests had been carried out to ensure nothing comes loose when go abouts with your camera.
Finally, the Seller will give you a "Really to Use " certificate.

Maybe that's why 2nd hand so expensive. :bsmilie:

If that is the reason, you would have seen all canon product price dropped not just 5dmk2 only

the rise and fall of yen has nothing to do with the price increase..

that is the excuse they use.

hmm... if canon were to release a 3D, aka 5DMKII lite, 7D should prices will drop like 5DMKII this month also...

historically a low number is higher in the food chain, i.e. EOS 3 more advance than EOS 5... ^^

3 years later 5DMKII will be darn affordable.

i just sold my 24-105 kit lens for 1600.

went back paris silk to top up to get this kit lens and the box (most importantly) haha.

so now i only spent 2975 for my body haha.

4575 - 1600 = 2975
3199 - 2975 = 224 (extra savings)

Nah, he's just trying to justify to himself that he didn't get stiffed with the higher price of the 5D2 kit he bought, and for some strange reason, compelled to share with us about his good fortune :bsmilie:

basically its like a shared purchase btw me and the buyer for the kit lens, i am not into the kit lens. so i find a buyer to get from me the kit lens so i can save even more. i did the same for my previous body 450D where i bought the kit set at 1712 and later sold the 18-200 kit lens for 950 and hence the body only cost me 762 of which i just sold recently to 600, so effectively i only lose 162 after using 9 months. Getting kit 2 set in this case is better then kit 1 since 18-55 dun have much resale value as compared to 18-200.

so now i am adopting the same strategy for my 5DMKII purchase. Bought the kit set for 4575 in total, sold my kit lens for 1600, so I only paid 2975 for the body instead of paying 3199 to just get the body.

understand now? ;p

yes! i am just doing that haha. glad i managed to buy my 5DMKII below 3000. ;)

How long does it take you to make that savings?? Isn't it better to spend the time to do something else that can earn even more? To me it is just too much trouble and hassle for a $200-$300 savings. If you are talking about $1K or more...I will say worth the effort.

some people have time, others have money. very rarely will have both time and money

well, initially i bought the body on last mon but on friday decided to went back to the shop to top up and get the lens. then sold the lens today.

anyway the savings can buy me one extra battery and still got balance left for an extra CF card. so why not? :)

1k savings? be realistic, thats not going to happen lol

I am surprised that you managed to sell at $1,600.

Was the buyer aware about the current price of EF 24-105?

For $1,600, he might as well buy from the shop with full box version instead of white box version.

well only orient photo is selling at $1600 (cheapest i can find) and mscolor at $1650, the rest $1.7k plus.

anyway the difference is only the box. cos he will still get hood and pouch. :)
