For due respect, forum is meant for free discussion, it's rediculous if we start to even policing on rumours... :nono:

It's so ironic so many people that shows 'dislike' of rumours love to peek into these thread that obviously is about rumours, maybe they have hidden urge to hear some rumours to begin with ???

Even if I dun post, ppl who believe in the false rumors will keep adding... And to think of it, even if the real 5D replacement comes out, who will buy it immediately? Given its projected price? Ppl will buy 5D instead! So the discussion should be on 5D rather than the replacement...

That's the thing about technology and money... People are always tempted by new things... "The newer the better"... The art of photography is long gone... :think:

I like rumors, you're wrong! But it is the way this rumor is going. And all the OTs that has been going on in this super long extended thread. Ok, I'll stop posting on this thread and look out for new threads relating to "THE 5D REPLACEMENT IS FINALLY ANNOUNCED!!!!!:thumbsup:" :bsmilie:

It's that the Mark 1?

Consider progress in technology. The 20D pretty much makes a quantum leap in terms of sensor noise when compared against the 10D.

Also, the 1Ds MkI is known to have a very very weak AA filter. Pixel sharpness is probably incredible on this camera. When compared to its peer (read: Nikon DSLRs) at its time, it's probably WAY better already. :bsmilie:

1Ds Mk I? If it is so, then it's becos of old technology. 5D is a noiseless beast, really. Using it, loving it ;p

Looks like canon is quite slow in coming out with a replacement. Nikon is announcing their D700 soon. Maybe they will be announced together at the same time with Nikon D700? :think:

Yes of cos it's the Mk I, unless stated. The feel is great but a bit turned off by the noise at lower ISOs. That's why i chose the 5D which has far better noise control.
