anyone selling something ard 70-200 or 70-300mm at a good price?
 

I am about to set off in an hour's time to do my first outdoor shooting with my Canon 500D and two lenses.

I am thinking of Chinese Garden - is it near MRT and is the place has good things to shoot eg. lake, trees and birds/insects?
 

yes.. walking distant to Chinese Garden MRT.. there is a big lake.. good luck.. hope to see good pictures!

u can try Esplanade area as well. or some place with more clouds?

Anyone have ways to check 500D's shutter count?
Tried the 40D method - which a lot of pple recommended.

but seems that it supports up to 450D at the moment.
Do we need to do anything with the EOS utility?

How's everyone enjoying their 500D?

My very first shots with Canon 500D using the EF-S 55-250mm F4-5.6 IS.
Did some basic editing. I wonder why the sky not so blue though with my naked eyes also not blue?

Which mode did you use?

The images seems like not focused..... Correct me if I'm wrong.
Just don't have an object that you are trying to focus.
Nevertheless, share which mode you were using.

Program P mode ... I agree with what you said, learning new things from you guys to improve :embrass:
 

hi...me newbie with SLR...played with it out of the box yesterday....was trying the movie fn last night...?there is no continous focus in movie mode?? cos when the camera move around the room...screen become out of focus and to press the AF button manually, the mechanism sound is quite audible in the clip....didn't bring the manual to workplace ...anyone got answers?
