I tried it and it gives extra room for grip even for landscape.
Grip 'extra space' gives a slightly similar feel to the 50D.

Yup, agreed especially the little-finger:thumbsup: would slip-out all of a sudden:bsmilie: if without grip (I got this 'feel' when trying on my friend's set).

Just that it's at a lighter-weight when using/carrying it, that's all

just find out the handle on the right is kinda small for my big hands..guess gonna take some time to adjust to it.

Other than this.. the camera is great..still learning to take more shots!!

I think it's not worth it.
coz the difference is the HD video, Digic 4 and 15.1 MP.

Rather u save your money and go straight to 5D MK II.

just got mine..tried for the night, was impressed when I took the photos and see on the LCD screen, but not exactly impressed after transferring to PC...
need outing to learn how to unleash the power !!

I tried viewing the pictures I took at home on my CRT.. and also the video too
the video is very clear (taken in manual mode)! like taking from a 3CCD video cam.. pretty impressive..
Haven't tried viewing in my lappy yet as I only tried last night.

lol..... mine was the reverse! wasn't impressed with the pics on the LCD Screen but impressed after transferring to my MAC - maybe the MAC work wonders.
