I used ISO 100, F8, mostly 2 - 3 secs for shutter speed and WB set to Incandescent. My findings and recommendations are as follows:
a) Maybe next time should use ISO 64 for shutter speeds at 4 sec.
b) Our spot on the esplanade bridge is a little too distant away from the fireworks. Had to use zoom. Perhaps we should scout for a close spot. Maybe the other end of the sheares bridge?
c) May need to buy a raincoat, so don't have to carry a cumbersome long umbrella.
d) Set to 5MP instead of 8MP. Cos it takes extra time for the data transfer @2MB per sec. I could use the extra time to take more shots to increase chances of a nice pix.
sorry if my question sound silly...
Wouldnt 4 secs shutter speed be too long for the fireworks? I mean the fireworks is so fast that, it is a fast motion for 4 second, wouldnt it make the picture looks blur?
I am a sony fans too, had own 717, V1 and W1....
