Kingston Warranty Policy
Kingston has a toll free number to call from Singapore: you can call 1-800-8861042 in Singapore to reach a Kingston tech support officer. The Kingston Tech Support is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm China/Taiwan time, Monday to Friday. Hotlines support English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese and Malay.
Lifetime Warranty:
The following Kingston products are covered by this warranty for life:
Memory modules including ValueRAM, HyperX and Kingston system specific memory, Flash memory cards (e.g. Secure Digital, CompactFlash, MultiMediaCard, SmartMedia) ATA Flash, and Linear Flash; memory expansion-boards, networking adapters; routers, hubs and switches without cooling fans (excluding the power supply), Flash adapters and microprocessor upgrade products.
Five-Year Warranty:
The following Kingston products are covered by this warranty for a period of five years from the date of original retail purchase: PC Card Readers and USB DataTravelers.
Two-Year Warranty:
The following Kingston products are covered by this warranty for a period of two years from the date of original retail purchase: Solid state PC Card (PCMCIA) adapters, MobileLite and microSD Reader.
One-Year Warranty:
The following Kingston products are covered by this warranty for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase: DataTraveler Accessory Kit, TravelLite SD/MMC Reader and KPEX Portable Media Player.
Discontinued products not listed in the warranty are no longer covered as their warranty has expired.
This limited warranty applies only to the original end user customer of the product for so long as the original end user customer owns the product. This limited warranty is non-transferable.
Standard Operating Procedure for claims in Kingston Service Centre - Convergent Singapore
Please submit your
defective product together with the packaging box and any receipt or identifying stickers if possible. Having product, packaging and receipt will
help us identify your product's part number, origin and authenticity quickly and help us
speed up your RMA process.
Convergent Systems will facilitate RMA for all Genuine Kingston memory modules. It is advisable to ensure that you purchase Kingston Value Memory modules from authorised dealers and to ensure that your purchases are genuine Kingston as a strict pre-requisite for warranty. We may have to spend some time to verify the authenticity of your product.
Convergent
warrants all genuine Kingston products,
but if we have to establish authenticity, there
may be a delay in processing your warranty. We have to spend time to establish authenticity, and
limited buffer stocks to do a one-to-one exchange, and because of this, we need to
prioritize customers whose Kingston products are easily recognizable to be genuine.
If you bought a product not immediately recognized by us as a genuine Kingston product, we may not at this time be able to offer you a one-to-one exchange. However, if there are questions of authenticity, but you require us to help you claim your warranty from Kingston, we will take your defective part and send it back to Kingston. If it is verified to be a genuine Kingston part, you will get this part back normally within 2-3 weeks. If it is not verified as a genuine Kingston part, the part might be retained as evidence of legal infringement of Kingston's intellectual property rights, and you will be informed duly and may be asked to aid in Kingston's investigations.
If you require an immediate exchange for products not immediately recognizable to be a genuine Kingston product, we suggest that you go back to the retailer you purchased to ask for a replacement.
