1st trip to Taiwan

Thanks and tried; no available room ... :(

From the looks of it, may have to settle for Brother Hotel but it's pretty pricey ... about S$180 per night as I need bigger bed due to my height ...

Its comfortable and convenient.

Will be in TPE this weekend. Food and hi fi shopping plus chillin'....

PM me if you are there.

for those of you who can read mandarin, you can try this website for booking of hotel. got quite gd rates for the hotel i stayed in during my trip. $1300 for peak, $1100 for non peak, somemore the reception girl very pretty ;p

i stayed in king regency btw, it's sharing the same building as lilai hotel

Got an address?
I will visit the Usher showroom - its about 1/2 of the prices in SG.

Note their voltage is 110V and foreign brands are not cheap.

Hi people, another dumb question from me given there are many 'first' for me, travelling alone, working on itinerary ... :embrass:

Just got the room booking confirmation from Brother Hotel. Although it states the net room rate, it doesn't state the total bill. In addition, the e-mail comes with an attachment, i.e. a GTD form or something. To me it looks like a separate form which requires me to fill in my credit information as well as attaching a photocopy of my card and then fax it back to the hotel ... is this a common practice?

Thanks in advance! All of you have helped me a lot!

Quite accessible via the MRT though might have to walk quite a distance to there. Nice place to dine in. The forest design of the restaurant is really cool.

I assumed you tried asiarooms.com and agoda too? :)

i'm going from 28/12 to 7/1 and bring my d90 along. i'm afraid of condensation as the weather will be cold and i'll be going up to alishan.

any advice on how to avoid or minimise condensation?
