Why not 24-85 vr? Optics are good and range is v usable. U can spend remainder on 70-300 vr. Optics wise prob better than 28-300

Another one to consider is the 24-120vr. Cost a little more though.

Not yet hand on, how do you knew it is bad??

For me when use in FX body and just slightly soft at corner, for the rest still acceptable..

For example here, if I didn't mention the photo is shot from DX lens an nobody will know..
