For me I only prefer the focus and metering. ^^

Die Hard said:The D 600 will sell at $2,900 include GST. Singapore will not have the Kit set only body . Got this news from my usual store. Anyway 1st batch are all booked :-(

$850 to be exact...but if compare rrp against rrp, it's prob $1600 diff (4488 vs 2900) which is quite significant.... once street price for d600 comes down, the gap will be clear.
Die Hard said:The RRP Price For D600 $3249. Is not $2,900.
Not to worry, the savings from the kit bundle is not really attractive, the last I checked 24-85 vr sells for $63* (street price), price diff between d600 body and kit is about the same.

I was really quite surprise when asking the new D600 price at iphoto..................: )

Blur Shadow said:I am actually quite confident of Nikon's AF system.
When I switched from the Nikon D300s to the Nikon D7000, I was preparing myself for a "downgrade" in AF ability. As it turns out, my fears were unfounded.
Of course, the D600 is a slightly different AF module, but I am quite confident of it.
4fps of the Nikon D800 is fairly slow, and that may not work for some. The only solution will be to use a battery grip. Of course, if fps is what you are after, the D4 is clearly the dSLR to get, and not the D600 or the D800.
