13/09/2012: Nikon announces D600 FF 24,3 mp

800 different? Is those different worth the 800? better focus, better metering, bigger MP, slower FPS?? Hmmmm... (also)

For me I only prefer the focus and metering. ^^

I don't see the fps as a hindrance, to me 4fps is more than sufficient. More importantly is the af tracking accuracy.

Guess by then those that bought now would have captured lovely images and all the important moments in their lives that's not worth the wait till year end.

Lol... totally agree.

That's about $800 cheaper than a Nikon D800. Hmm...

$850 to be exact...but if compare rrp against rrp, it's prob $1600 diff (4488 vs 2900) which is quite significant.... once street price for d600 comes down, the gap will be clear.

The D 600 will sell at $2,900 include GST. Singapore will not have the Kit set only body . Got this news from my usual store. Anyway 1st batch are all booked :-(

Not to worry, the savings from the kit bundle is not really attractive, the last I checked 24-85 vr sells for $63* (street price), price diff between d600 body and kit is about the same.

Die Hard brother, from I knew him before D3s & have all the nikon lenses we cannot afford, even thinking.

The RRP Price For D600 $3249. Is not $2,900.

Sorry I was ill informed.

So d600 street is at 10.7% off retail, while d800 is already at 16.4% off retail.

Still have room for d600 street price to go down... the gap might widen up to $1k.

May I know where did you find the 24-85 VR selling at $63*?

I was really quite surprise when asking the new D600 price at iphoto..................: )

I am actually quite confident of Nikon's AF system.

When I switched from the Nikon D300s to the Nikon D7000, I was preparing myself for a "downgrade" in AF ability. As it turns out, my fears were unfounded.

Of course, the D600 is a slightly different AF module, but I am quite confident of it.

4fps achieved by the Nikon D800 is fairly slow, and that may not work for some. The only solution will be to use a battery grip. Of course, if fps is what you are after, the D4 is clearly the dSLR to get, and not the D600 or the D800.

You're prob right. For the serious sports shooters, D4 or D3s is prob the way to go. For the rest of us amateurs or hobbyist, having a faster fps will help when chasing over energetic kids during birthday parties.

Arrived at audiohouse liang court. $2900.

Who's the first to grab? :)

Can use for f1 this weekend.

freebies? lol

So far I checked no freebies. My only worry now is whether 1/200 flash sync is enough for me. I don't shoot studios just an amateur hobbyist. Not at all concerned with the 1/4000 shutter, as I checked thru my files, none exceeded this speed.
